Welcome to another Girls und Panzer unboxing! In this video I (finally) unbox my Ques Q Maho Nishizumi and Erika Itsumi figures. These are 1/7th scale and I have to say I really like how these two turned out. I hope Ques Q does make more GuP figures in the future, but only time will tell.

I love magnets for hats. I first saw it in a Shizuka Masou from Alter and felt like it should've become standard ever since. I don't think the future is all too bright for Garupan figures in general? We haven't had one in years, nor had one announced in even longer not including the child Miho/Maho that feels like a one ofd for the 10th anniversary. I'd love to be proven wrong though. I can see a 15 anniversary figure which should line up with when the last Das Finale should release. (Still crazy to me that they haven't done Ogin given how stellar and unique amongst the cast her design is)

Definitely agree that magnets should be the standard and I think for the most part they are nowadays (I'm not familiar with that character, but looked her up and her design looks cool). There actually were two new GuP figures announced for early next year. 1/7 Shiho in an Oarai uniform is coming out Feb 2024 and Chiyo in the Oarai uniform is coming out Jan 2024. They're by Wave and Shiho is still open for preorder on Amiami at $130. I'm waiting to see if I can get them cheaper aftermarket/used and still deciding if I really want them. Plus some garage kits are released each year, so hopefully there will be more figures in the future. The thing I think could be a problem is that if the majority of people are like me and don't preorder them then it looks like there's less interest to the figure companies, but that's just kindof how it is. I'd love an Ogin figure! Most garage kits are of Cutlass (and she's cool too). Honestly, I'd love more of the 'secondary girls' in general, if you'd call them that. Like Fukuda, Alisa, Amaretto, etc. - even if they were just prize figures, that'd be awesome.

They do make super small versions of the girls for the model kits, but other than that the closest thing we've got are a few scale figures standing/sitting on pieces of their tanks (Rosehip, Nishi, Erika, and Yukari).

Stunning figures. The tanks are a Tiger 1 (Maho) and King Tiger (Erika). You can use lighter fluid on a cotton bud or soft cloth to remove paint rubs and goo marks.

Oh good to know! I didn't know the lighter fluid trick (was going to try being super careful with nail polish remover, though they both probably have a fair bit of acetone in them I'm guessing). Thanks!

I thought the second tank was a Tiger-P but then again in both WOT and War Thunder I’m rather attached to the Panther ( though it’s easier to 180 and drive out of trouble in the panther then it is to reverse )

I thought the cosplay was for Erika and Maho Figma, to be with the figma tiger. Good figures by the way, they look so good, a bit expensive for me. The poses are cool. Give us more cosplay! It's always good to see non Japanese content of girls und panzer, or western content talking about war crimes. It's a fresh content for me at least, sadly from where I'm from, no one knows this show, it's sad.

I'm still debating if I want to collect the figmas of the girls or not. They aren't too hard to find for a decent price (at least as far as figmas go), so maybe one day. I'm excited to do more Girls und Panzer cosplay! You really don't see much over here in the west. When I went to the convention no one had a clue who I was, but I expected that since no one I meet seems to know what Girls und Panzer is just like you said. It's crazy to me that it's gone under so many people radar, cause it's so good!

@@Konsuming_PlastiK Figmas are Still easy the find, the Ankou team is really cheap, The Kuromori and St Gloriana girls are more expensive, and with the bonus a bit more. I have the Panzer IV figma with all 5 girls on the top, those are my babies. There is also the anchovy figfix that you can remove her head, and put in another body. I just need the Miho with Oarai uniform to complete the figmas figures, I need the Tiger, but I dont have the space. I prefer 12" Dolls with actual clothing than plastic JIAOU,Phicen,TBLeague,SUPERDUCK and similar brands, but of course they arent designed as anime character but you can literally customize clothing of everything you want literally everything the downside is they are quite expensive, especially the tailoring.

Oh wow I wasn't aware of these! Some of the dolls are pretty comparable to figure prices and that's awesome that you can customize them to look like whatever you want. Funny enough I actually use to reroot doll hair in the past to customize them a bit. I can imagine the tailoring being expensive, but totally see why you'd collect them. Thanks for sharing!

I'm lucky enough to be able to shoot in a field and the woods, so that'll be the plan :)

As a figure collector, do you keep the boxes they come in or do you toss them? Or just toss the inserts but keep the box itself? I'm mostly wondering due to limited space and the fact that now I have two figures that didn't come with their boxes

I generally cut out and keep parts of the box if I like the artwork, but otherwise I just toss them. I don't have the space and I'm not opposed to buying figures without boxes or with heavily damaged boxes either. It's a great way to save money.

Awesome! I'll make sure to do a photoshoot with the WWII German guns we've got and next time I go shooting I'll dress up and record it :) We sadly don't have the bayonet, but the German Mauser has the insignia intact which is kindof rare since the Soviets stamped out those when they'd pick them off fallen German soldiers during the war.

You're right it's a shiny mauve color (or a little lighter than that depending on the lighting). I said pearlescent because it looks shiny like a pearl, but apparently that's not what pearlescent means, the more you know :) my bad.

You're good :) Girls und Panzer is basically a sports anime where there is a sport call Sensha-do (tankery) where high school girls battle each other with tanks. Outside of the main school, the others are stereotypes of various countries and they use WWII tanks from the country they represent in battle. It's a ton of fun weather you like tanks or not (it's also the only sports anime I've ever watched and I love it if that counts for anything). Highly recommend you give it a try!

I'll be shooting a Spanish Mauser and posing with both an authentic Kar98 and P-38, we don't want to risk ruining the family heirlooms, that's why I'm not shooting those ;) I just usually shoot .22 when I shoot with the fam because I'm not a fan of recoil, but for the video in cosplay I'll suck it up.

Nothing at all unusual going on here. Many many flgures are like this. Skirts are often removable for etchi reasons (it sells as a feature) and also so aftermarket clothes can be fitted. The whole legs come of for those reasons and also for manufacturing. Sometimes the underclothes are glued on either because the flesh body underneath IS detailed and they want to hide it, or it is NOT detailed and they want to hide that.

Good to know. They're the first figures I've gotten that have this feature so I was surprised. I know there are cast-off figures, etc., but didn't even think about being able to remove the skirts with otherwise 'normal' figures.
