Super impressive set up, so good to see an organisation working solely for the good of the bear and not for the needs of humans, what a great example for other countries to follow for the protection and help to any type of animal. thank you.

Beautiful! How far ABR has advanced since then: Hartley house, donation of camera system bringing more information on activities of bears, and ability to see what is going on. Helps Curators spot problems and get cubs to UT Veterinary School in a timely fashion for injuries or illness. 4 wild enclosures, now! Kudos to ABR staff and volunteers! Time for a new video...next year...if it empties for a month or two.

Black bears are naturally solitary creatures unless they are young cubs with a sow, or mating. Here at Appalachian Bear Rescue we try to mimic that behavior by placing bear cubs with one another in the wild enclosures until their release times. At the time of their release, they are just a little younger than they would be when they separate from their mother's in the wild! You're right, socialization with other bears is so important for young bear cubs as they learn and grow. :)

I can't get to understand, and I'm ashamed of those human beings ... so IDIOTS (2 don't like me ..?) That they don't like this video or the actions in it? Only your HUMAN PREDATORS could think like that!

If these animals are not cute, no body care of them.
