Your suggestion about asking for a sign reminds me of something that happened for me recently: while on a walk, I asked my Aunt Dorothy for a sign of a feather (someone else's suggestion), but then a few seconds later The Wizard of Oz popped into my mind so I said, "Ok, even better: Toto, a rainbow...anything Wizard of Oz." A minute later I turned a corner and there was a pair of red sequined slippers sparkling in the sun right beside a free box in front of me. Astonishing, beautiful moment! "Wizard of Oz" certainly hadn't been my own "thought," though I had assumed so.

How's this for a snag. In June it was unseasonably hot, so I go to sit at the waterfront at Selkirk Manitoba. While in contemplation, I turn and notice the large bold word, Sake, is painted on an old building. That word jumps clearly into my conscious mind. Later that day I go to Winnipeg Beach on Lake Winnipeg 30 Mike's away. I needed to use the washroom, but the public bathroom is closed, so had to use outdoor Porta potty, inside on every wall the word Sake, is written. Now this really grabs my intention to say the least. Next I proceed down the boardwalk along the beach, I see a picnic table and decide to sit there. In faint blue ink, the word Sake is written on this table. The balance of the summer, was a learning adventure, with some serious hurt involved.... COINCIDENCE I THINK NOT!!!!

Thank you for this, I will surely practice it a little more. I love your elephant story and just wanted to share something funny. As a child the neighbouring town had a drug store with a pink elephant on the roof. I'm from South Africa and we have plenty elephants here, but... it doesn't roam the streets and aren't "worker elephants" like in India - and they certainly ain't pink! 😄
