Without closing Appium server at cmd prompt works for me, when I start and stop server programmatically.

Sarif, in my case Appium server was already up and running for locating elements and when I ran the program it did not initiate a new start of server and stop. But updated the context in already opened Server log in cmd. Even console did not show details of Service start and Stop. It was a PASS though. Will the script ignore service start and stop if Appium is already up and running on cmd?

Appium Server programmatically start & stop has few known issues since this is the latest beta version. Here is the work around: -Try to run Appium server manually. If it works, means the code for programmatically is not working. -Please follow this solution: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rILRnGRpopufidk -If you have still problem, then run Appium server manually for now and continue your practice. We are hoping Appium will come with a solution with the next version.
