I use liquetex basics but I have to say that I have seen so really great art using the craft paints. I love the DecoArt dragonfly glaze. I think you can make art with whatever supplies you can get your hands on....just create.

Okay question, do your apple barrel paints stink something fierce? Idk if mine have gone bad or what but they are soooo stinky! I have a few more expensive brands that don't really have a smell that are around the same age so I can't tell if it's just the brand or something else

They can be pretty stinky! I think that the multi-surface stinks the most. It reminds me of house paint. It's designed for crafts so I think whatever they use for the binder is stronger than paint made for canvas. It's funny that you mention that because I'm making a video with Crayola washable kids' paint and it has the weirdest smell... I I didn't mention that in the video. I'll have to include smell commentary in the future. 😂

My favorite brushes come from Artify. They offer a 24-piece set, but if you're aiming for extremely small details like the ones in this video, I recommend the AILEX 9-Piece fine detail brush set.
