Thank you for including the printed whole recipe in the description page. I appreciate quickly knowing the ingredient amounts. My apples are on the counter. I have one of those slick apple peeler/slicer devices, part of my divorce settlement with the 331/3 record of Camelot. He got his old pickup. 😀 I got the best long range prize.

Oh my goodness! A wonderful memory from my childhood in the 1950s - my Mom (a French cook, too) used to make Apple Brown Betty all the time. Sometimes accompanied with hard sauce, sometimes vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or just heavy cream. Favorite dessert of that time! Thank you!

I toss so much stale bread into the compost. I'm excited to learn this amazing-looking dessert so I can not only salvage some of that stale bread, but also make a cooked apple dessert, my favorite! Thanks for another great, no-fuss, low-cost recipe. 😊

Oh my goodness, I LOVE pure maple syrup. When I was a teenager, I used to stay in a camp ground in Ohio, with my family. And they had a maple forest there. You could go on a tour, and at the end of the tour, they'd give you and at the end, they'd give you a tiny cup of warm maple syrup that was just made. Ohhh so good! Apples and maple are a beautiful combination, especially for fall. And your Apple Brown Betty looks scrumptious!

Apple Brown Betty is something my mom made when we were kids...I used to think she made it up because her name was Betty♡ Baked apples are so very similar. I call Brown Betty a "baked apple" without the apple form. instead of bread chunks, I use Panko bread Crumbs. Served in a dessert dish with real vanilla bean icecream....unbeatable for yummies!

both my Grandmothers made this (born 1901) MY Dad loved this - his Mom made with molasses and my other grandmother added raisons and sometime walnuts - they used more tart apples like Macintosh or even the apples from our trees which were super tart I-have added dried cranberries that are sweetened with fruit juice and of course sweeter apples - this is a great memory for many people you can top with supersharp cheddar - just like an apple pie- super good

You seem to make a lot of Southern dishes.... I was born and partially raised in the South....a lot of dishes you make are ones that were handed down to my mother from our ancestors. (Daniel Boone was my 6th great uncle...his brother, Samuel was my 6th great grandfather) They had some really interesting dishes, using anything and everything they could hunt, catch, grow and create. I am finding a lot of familiar recipes or some somewhat similar to what I had growing up.

Looks tasty AF. Though I might play around with the recipe for some calorie hacking. I like the challenge of making baked sweets for diabetics after cooking for my mom years ago. Brown sugar has always been a pain to figure out for that, so I'm likely to experiment with that beforehand as well: Apples -> Granny Smith's (I loooove that sourness) Sugar -> Stevia Brown sugar -> sugar Beet Molasses* bread -> Granola Butter -> plant butter Maple syrup -> SF Maple syrup / Maple flavoring Lemon juice Cinnamon Allspice Nutmeg SF caramel sauce Vanilla plant protein powder (maybe)

Here is a very simple apple crumble recipe you will love. Take 4 to 6 apples (you favorite choice) peel, core and cut into slices or chunks and place into a pie dish. Then take a packet of sweet, plain biscuits, crush to form small to medium crumbs and put into a bowl. I crush the biscuits in a zip lock bag and bash with a rolling pin. Tho the bowl add 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 2 or more tablespoons of soft butter. Mix well together and spread over the raw apples. Place the pie in a microwave and cook for 10minuts on high. Serve hot or cold with ice Cream or custard. Delish. Bon appetite.
