I have a tip for the bacon, dust it with cornflour before topping with sugar and cooking it and get gets a lovely crisp coating which holds on to the flavour more.

I add a little crushed red pepper flakes to the brown sugar for a hint of heat. No brown sugar? Maple syrup works great, too! Happy Christmas!

Good morning, Kevin. I will be using your menu for Christmas day munchies. I know it sounds sacrilegious, but l use a much quicker sweet and sour sauce. I melt equal parts grape jelly and ketchup. Depending on how much time l have, l will add some garlic salt or powder or red pepperflakes. Sometimes l use meatballs, sometimes sausage rounds. If you have drop in company you can have a little snack ready in a flash

I'm enjoying my Sunday morning coffee with Kevin's holiday party food episode. Did someone say bacon? The extra bacon would have disappeared at my house. Avery did some excellent counter surfing this time, but can't blame her, as involved bacon. All of the appetizers look delicious. Will make any guests happy. Lovely cranberry Christmas punch with a little extra punch of brandy. Yum! Looks festive too. I have noticed ground chicken at the grocery store but wasn't sure what to make with it. Now I know.
