Well, I did buy a Vision Pro. Three days ago. And I am still impressed. It‘s fantastic to watch KZbin and other videos. It‘s not as uncomfortable as I thought. Navigating through menus is easy. Siri is okayish. Yes, apps are missing but AR / VR is certainly the future.

This is literally my argument. Gods forbid something isn't immediately the greatest thing ever after literally 1 week. Because that's what they said when the AVP was released, can we make it to 6 months? Can we? Like JFC, the tech enthusiast crowd is trash. "It's not better then the Quest", you mean the quest that was released 5years ago? The headset with literally 100s of iterations and patches?? Ugh. Yeah the product that became available on *checks notes* Feb. 2, 2024 and it's *checks notes* July 23, 2024... Isn't functionally comparable to a 5 year old product. The Quest 1 wasn't a smashing success at release.

Big agree, it took them ~4 or 5 generations to stick the landing with  watch. I know it was popular right out the gate but lets not forget having $10k gold edition. + segmenting the watch into Apple watch Sports, regular and edition. I remember having a gen 0 and everyone was telling me it was dumb to have a watch that would be redundant in a year etc. fast forward to series 4 and everyone in my circles that said thag owned one. I think it’s easy to say the vision pro is a flop because A. They don’t see the vision (no pun intended) going on in Tim/ apples mind. And B. Because it’s so expensive. But that has almost always been apples strategy? Like it isn’t new to launch with the highest of high end and refine from there for the masses? And by masses i mean masses of people that can already afford apple products like a $1000+ iphone. It’s a bit crazy to see tech ‘analysists’/reviewers/youtubers speak so short sightedly and definitively.

Best way to describe the sound quality on my HomePod mini. It isn’t the best in the world, but it’s just about the best thing i can get for $100. I means it’s better than my computer speakers. Not the ones built into my laptop, the ones made by Logitech that my computer, and Xbox plug into. I usually use mine for listening to music when I’m playing games. Also give me purple and green god damnit!!!!!!

IMO, Apple is entering a new era in which their mastery of hardware is not an advantage. The hardware now has the ability to run truly sophisticated software for A.I. and experiences. That is not Apple's core area of expertise. Vision Pro, a $3500 toy that only one family member can use easily, represents an exercise in hubris. Apple is looking a bit lost this year.

hi interesting , my problem of visonon pro is not easy to just buy it unless you have iphone or is part of apple ,as i use windows laptop and android person but if want look at total price of vison pro on website i cant so how am i going just work out if my total , am in uk so vison pro just out so to me they should had globo sell at same time ,as makes vison pro videos out there rethink it all ...............apple has forced faster updates on quest happen which makes better option for 90 % usefulness at under 700 pounds that including 512 model quest 3,halo bobovr new headset and 3 batteries and charger... and if apple takes longer for cheaper model quest 4 be out and pro 2 , then google/Samsung will have there's options and then you have copied vison pro that may give concept to newbies without costing arm and leg,and others .........if its easy and universal os and good price wins in my opinion
