For the money you paid, you should expect a 32 gb ram in it. Apple uses that strategy with iPhone 17 where they bring RAM ipgrades to Pro only models where AI can be run faster.

I feel like Apple is really floundering. The iPhone 16 is a huge disappointment. The iPad mini is also a major disappointment. The car they spent billions on flopped before it was even released. The Vision Pro is completely aimless. It’s like a “look what I can do” device that really serves no real purpose. It’s like they expected developers to determine the purpose for why it exists, and developers are not interested in it much at all. The new AirPods Pro got a different port. The new AirPod max got a new port and a couple new colors and nothing else. The new Macs are all the same with a little faster processor, no innovation there. Honestly there doesn’t seem to be anything at Apple worth getting excited about at all right now. It feels like Tim Cook is acting like Biden, they are both still in charge but they already seem to be retired and completely absent.

Largely agree. I think Vision Pro was more than a flex though. I think they were trying to do for vr/ar headsets what they did to portable music and smartphones previously. But they misjudged. Their ability to read the market and tech trends just isn't there right now. Hasn't been since they mined what was left in the pipe after Jobs' death. Ironically, I think they feel, and perhaps are, under a lot of pressure to repeat those two successes, and that's unfortunate. They already do a number of things pretty well, and if they were to just focus on those a little more, I think that's enough.

Right, like they have 20000 6.1 inch iPhones to choose from, wtf. I have tried to upgrade to iPhone 14 Pro and 15 pro and both times sold them and lost money and just went back to my 13 mini. I also had the iPhone X beforehand and that phone was comfortable to use as well so I’m good with 5.8 inches or smaller. Some of us have small hands.. the 15 pro is usable ish without a case but the second i put on a case its huge. Give us a smaller phone.

There’s a glitch in IOS18. My messages on my brand new iPhone 16 Pro are deleting and apple says they are NOT going to do anything about it and hopefully eventually there will be a fix.

Of course I'll get the Mini 7th Gen! My present tablet is an iPad 5th gen, purchased in 2017. Apple no longer offers OS updates for it. I am not a trade up every year or two kind of guy. I am opting for the Mini because of its size. I am NOT a gamer, I use a tablet for reading & writing. Please do what you can to let The Apple People know we want the Journal app to be CROSS-PLATFORM! Tesla: That cab is way to small a car to be a taxi. Most Taxi users are families or folks that have more than 2 in their parties. Until we see sensor upgrades in the phone cameras upgrading isnt really worth it honestly. Even the “upgrade” in the 16pro ultra wide isn’t really much of an upgrade. If they can get the ultra wide and tele to match the sensor and aperture of the main camera…then we’ll have something to talk about. But I don’t see that happening for at least a few years.

Why is everyone so disappointed with the iPad mini? Not everything needs to be some massive ultra-innovative mind-blowing revolutionary new technological ten steps forward. It’s just a spec bump and that’s fine. It’s got a faster processor, better pencil, some newer colors, they doubled the storage to something usable, the cameras are slightly better, apple intelligence support(which no one cares about), and some Bluetooth and WiFi bumps. What were you expecting? OLED? 120hz? Design change?

Exactly, and these people don’t appreciate nearly enough how far technology has gotten. Not everything has to be a banger game changing upgrade all the time. One person for example might be more intrigued to upgrade from an iPhone 10 to a 16 instead of a 15 because maybe they liked that little bit extra upgrade in comparison to what they have while another might be fine going from a 12 to a 14 Plus because of battery life and needed a bigger screen. I’ve never forgotten where I once came from an era where basic phones were a huge thing and smartphones were made with different purpose in the 2000s. I’m on an 8 Plus and enjoyed the phone I owned for four years but moving on to a 15 and ready for the major improvements ahead from where I’m at now.

I do like your Tesla videos. They’re pretty awesome since you have that cyber truck my question I know it hasn’t to do with Apple, but I’ve seen a couple forums where they have the Tesla Internet service, but I can’t think of the name at the moment but they had a mount a custom mount in the back of their cyber truck. Didn’t know if you had something like that in your truck down here in Florida. I had a Samsung S23+, the phone is way way way better than iPhone 16 pro max. To be honest, iPhone is easily one of the worst smart phone I have ever used. The setting menu is a complete mess. All the features that android has for many years, apple will borrow and add it on one every year and makes it a big deal. If I could turn back time, I wish I never bought it.
