Thanks for the video, I have a couple questions: 1) In step 17 "connect audio through aux", does that require running an aux cable to the armrest area, or are you simply showing that you have to change the audio source? 2) Do I have to hold the Menu button every time I start the car, or will it automatically detect Carplay and switch into the new interface by itself?

1) only change the audio source, no additional cable. 2) no, once paired it will auto-connect everytime you start the car.

Hey, bij mij krijg ik geen audio.. ik heb alles geprobeerd, heb jij daar last van? als ik switch naar de bmw ui kan ik wel radio etc luisteren maar zodra ik naar carplay switch geen audio.. X1 F48, bj 2017

When we installed this the backup camera went away. What did we do wrong? The screen is also very dim when the apple car play is on. Any thoughts on that? The apple car play works, and I'm thrilled to have my daughter's phone out of her lap when she needs a map, but we have to get the backup camera back! Thanks

Check the settings for the backup camera, it’s in there

@@SharonSandellGoodwyn no, it’s in the settings of the cartizan unit. Check the menu and select oem camera.

@@mariog2609 Ich habe exakt nach dieser Anleitung eine Ewaying MMI Box in meinem BMW X1 SDrive 18i F48 Bj.2021 eingebaut und es funktioniert tadellos.

Yoo, ja golfje doet het goed, alleen weer zo goed als standaard. Elke upgrade turbo was een drama in mijn geval.. Heb nog een garantiekwestie lopen, erna wilde ik nog een afsluitende video mbt het project maken..

@@ot2nie klinkt alsof het project in de soep gelopen is, Kloten man. Is de golf verder nog wel stage 1v

@@snw1588 ja kan je wel zeggen idd. Golfje is idd nog stage 1 en doet het perfect verder. Die turbo’s waren gewoon niet gebouwd voor serieus interessant vermogen.
