Apple Carplay Upgrade in 2015 Chevy Tahoe

I upgraded my 2015 Chevy Tahoe to Apple Carplay / Android Auto.
I had to replace 3 pieces, Radio Module, HMI Module, and USB Connector.

Oy what a mess of wires... can this be done without a dual quad modulator with a foster grip? I heard you MUST use one.

fdnyfish ok so no rear camera in motion or nav in motion? And you chose the Io6? Just want to make sure before I order. This is literally the only video I’ve found that’s helpful. Even going up to Chevrolet they told me there is no upgrade. Bullshit.

Vin number needs to be programmed. The guy I bought it from did that programming

Requires a HMI software upgrade from the dealer to fix this as android auto was release late on 2016 models

those functions have the original stereo. And when you buy that device, a lot of money will come out and it does not bring the function of playing you tube videos or watching movies
