The tablet's "typical usage" is different than the pc's. Many laptop owners have been using them as nowadays tablet's (check mail, social networks, read stuff, etc). People really wanted a tablet when they bought their laptops. The big value of nowadays tablets is their 'just works' software, which for a pc is overly restrictive (for what it's use can be), but for a tablet's typical usage is perfect. People who do not have tablets do this with their smartphones.

Stumpe with the aid of Frank Beck, both engineers from CERN, developed a transparent touch screen in the early 1970s and it was manufactured by CERN and put to use in 1973. This touchscreen was based on Bent Stumpe's work at a television factory in the early 1960s. A resistive touch screen was developed by American inventor G Samuel Hurst and the first version produced in 1982. The HP-150 from 1983 was one of the world's earliest commercial touchscreen computers.

@robotj112 жыл бұрын
The iPhone 4S is almost a year old phone competing with a 1-month old phone (S3). I have a BIG feeling the next iPhone will be FANTASTIC here are my reasons: foxconn said so, at the end of the iPad 3 keynote there was a slide that said: "2012 There's a lot to look forward to", the iPhone 4S being an incremental upgrade suggests they were working on another iPhone at the same time, Steve Jobs reportedly skipped the iPhone 4S and only worked on the next one (iPhone 5)

ARM don't make CPU's, they design them and license those designs to the companies that DO make them. The only chips they manufacture are test samples, they don't actually mass produce them for clients, companies like Samsung and Texas Instruments do that. It's kind of like how Microsoft make Windows and then it's put on other companies hardware. They have a common "component" as it were, then someone else actually makes use of it and they get a license fee from it.

The large domain of Android over other operating systems, according to Ramon Llamas, senior research analyst at IDC, is that there are many iconic models with Android, as well as manufacturers have addressed a range of equipment for different capacities monetary and Google has been able to provide good user experience with its allies. The big winner was Microsoft with Windows Phone 7 as sales increased 115.3% to 5.4 million units. However, this only benefits the software at the moment

Steve Jobs is also the person that invited John Sculley to join his board of directors. Steve was a brilliant visionary, but every man has his flaws. Steve does indeed have a good history in creating products people need, however that doesn't make him a good nuclear scientist or, for that matter, a people person. You might want to base your argument on actual facts, rather than someone else's judgement. Humans make mistakes, and they rely on the others in their group to point them out.

AMD manufacture most of theirs in Germany, and a lot of Intel's are made in Malaysia. The designs of them are American, but the things that go into most electronics are truly (and literally) international. No one country can make claim to most stuff we use, it's a real mix. Most designs come from the "west", most physical manufacturing is done in the "east". Even where they're made doesn't mean they're truly local to there, engineers from all over the world contribute to these things.

I wasn't sure about Tim in the beginning either, but since Steve hand-selected Tim as his successor, I have to believe his choice was based on shared vision. I recently watched Tim's last key note and he appears much more confident and at ease with his new role. His personality is just not as charismatic as Steve's. But I wouldn't let his southern, mellow manner [public] fool you - he fired the guy that screwed up Maps.

At the time, it was true, it no longer is. Google ham-stringed the maps on iOS by not allowing access to all of their API's that would allow for things like turn-by-turn navigation, all the 3D crap and a lot of the other things they instead made exclusive to Android. It makes perfect sense for Google to keep it for itself when they have a competing product and it makes even more sense for Apple to make its own rather than rely on someone who clearly has no intention of improving things.
