The only downsides are: No iMessage or Facetime and a small learning curve However with time you´ll find that Android is easier to use because of its logical layout and iMessage and Facetime can be replaced by WhatsApp etc.

I agree. As much as I like android because of how open it is and how many things you can do with it, for example like emulation, custom apps that can be AMAZINGLY useful. Iphone has that simple yet still in depth design that appeals to people that use a phone casually. Yes, I am switching again. I got the iPhone 13 Pro, missed Android, then switched to the Pixel 7 Pro, then had issues with overheating, bad battery, and bad network quality. I switched back to the iPhone 13 Pro again, missing android even more , waited for perfect android phone and now I pre-ordered the S24 Ultra.

What’s the point to have an iPhone if I still use google products or Microsoft like outlook. iOS knows better what I want. In Android is so many shortcuts to go to settings or simply organise my screen as I wish. Widget are widgets not just pretending that’s you can do something about. I had to install google photos coz it’s better. In end of the day this days android can gives you what you rly want and it’s up to you. It’s flexible not like iOS where apple knows better, are they? Even the way to unlock phone is annoying. No doubt face unlock is great but this additional move usually is pointless.

My apple fanboyism ended when i started daily driving apple products. I've used other people's apple products growing up but after i bought my own apple products, i just went from a fanboy to a regular person and then after years later when i was able to buy a hugh end PC and flagship android phone, i became the opposite of an apple fanboy and started acting according to my age.

I’ve been a huge computer nerd since I was 10, love customizing everything from the build itself to Windows. But for my phone I care not for customization, I want something that is consistent and predictable. I want consistent photos with less unnatural saturation. Apple has been the answer for years, though I began on Android and still love it. Seems perhaps iPhone photos are beginning to look more unnatural from the get go as time passes but before recently Samsung was always known for the saturated colors. Thankfully my 13P is solid, too lazy to always carry my DSLR. If I want to “enhance” my images I can do that myself, thanks Samsung lol. If the situation reverses, I am going back to Android.

I love the Samsung Ultra phones but sadly my Apple Watch Ultra is what has brought me back to iPhone every time I try to switch. I tried the Galaxy watch 6 for about a month and it was nowhere near as great in terms of fluidity, battery life and functionality.

I don't care who has the best camera or is the fastest phone in benchmarks. Every flagship smartphone takes super pictures and video's and is blazing fast. 97% of all smartphone users don't even see the differences. I'm a SMARTPHONE user so I want the best screen (dpi/brightness/anti-glare), best battery, best/most usablility and productivity options, best gaming- and multi-media experience, best personalization options and best innovation. I want DEX, KNOX, S-PEN, call recording, multi-tasking, multi-window, fingerprint scanner, best screen, widgets, themes, integration with windows, the biggest eco-system (Samsung SmartThings), fast charging, fast wireless charging and I want AI. On all these aspects the S24 Ultra is destroying the iphone 15 PM big time. So why keep people buying these antiquated, restricted and very very limited iphones?

Current Note 10 user, gonna upgrade very soon. However, now with the S24 Ultra being released, it's a difficult decision. I was sold on the Fold 5 (yes, I know weird, but it would really help my workflow as a student and day to day life), BUT the S24 Ultra has a lot of features that seem extremely useful (it also comes in the deep violet, which I really like), and I'm familiar with the Ultra's whole way of life because the Note is the pre-Ultra phones, so it'd be an upgrade as opposed to migrating to another type of device. Downside to the Ultra, it's got a massive foot print at all times, it's bigger than my Note 10 which is sorta like the max phone size I want. But the pen is actually integrated into the phone, which (while not used often) is extremely useful when I need it. For the Fold, its foot print is smaller when folded (which is what I'd like for quick use of texts and such), then it can be opened up and have a much larger screen. The downside, however, is it doesn't have an integrated pen, and I've seen reviews going all over the place of how well the S Pen works with the device. I'm still leaning towards the Fold 5 and getting the S Pen case, but the S24 Ultra is still a really tempting option with everything it has to offer. Fold 6 will probably have everything new the Ultra has, but I'm going to need a new phone before it gets released

If you put the S Pen Case on the Fold 5 you lose the smaller form factor, so there goes that selling point...If you really want to utilize the S Pen to it's highest capabilities, like using it a remote controller to your phone when taking photos or presenting something, you should choose the S24 Ultra...

As a kiwi who lived in Sydney for 4 years and now Auckland for 10 years, I agree with you and don't think you said anything controversial. Shame you couldn't be in Auckland for a summer as it's nice (especially this year ironically!), but Sydney is always nice and is a true world class city, whereas Auckland just isn't there yet. Never listen to users and reviewers. Now that the ultra has a flat display, they say it's no longer immersive. When the S21U made the corners rounded, they want the squared corners back because it's unique to the Note. Now that the squared corner is back, it's not comfortable. People say they don't use the S pen but then complain that the curved display makes using the S pen inconvenient. I bet if Samsung gets rid of the S pen, people would want it back 😂😂😂😂😂

The corners, I want the Ultra but in the 24+ body. Got the 24+ since it was a good amount cheaper and basically the same without the camera. Can the S24 Ultra capture 4K video files onto an external SSD drive, support all the various 4K ProRes formats, enable Log recording, and is there an Android app similar to the free Blackmagic CAM app?

Yes , you could use FImilic Pro and there are other applications as well which you could substitute
