I know two people whose marriages ended because their wives cheated on them - in both cases, the affair came to light when they came home from work early. In one case, Tim came home and found Donna in bed with one of her coworkers, Mack. In lieu of alimony / child support, Donna moved out of state with their daughter while Tim kept their son. I think the family can discuss what to do with the child until the cows come home, but it's none of their business. They don't have right to decide what happens to that child. Only the parents do. Not great news for the child, but the thought that Sabrina's parents are deciding what to do with the child is ridiculous. Let them talk all they like, let them make all the decisions they want to make, but their decisions are irrelevant. Sabrina and Zack make the only decisions that will actually take effect.

Being broke isn't enough reason by itself to have your kid taken away. The grandparents have a lot of convincing to do, but they don't have any deciding to do. The parents will decide, and if they fail, then CPS will decide, but for now, the grandparents discussing what should happen to the child is kind of irrelevant.

Here's an interesting fact about my ex girlfriend and her twisted and selfish mind. About 15 years ago we broke up after me finding her cheating with another guy. She ended up pregnant with his child. The guy had no idea that we were a couple and broke up with her as well. 2 years later she showed up and demanded that I take over the parental rights for HER kid. It isn't even my child! She had met a new guy and lied about not having any kids. She has 2 kids. The first was from a relationship before ours. That kid grew up with my ex girlfriend's parents. Well, both now. She had met a new guy and lied about not having any children since he hated them. He caught on real fast when her parents called him and told him the truth. She married some trucker after that and now lives far, far away.

Unpopular opinion but being poor and getting a devorce because you cheated doesn't mean that you don't deserve your kids. You would be surprised by how much a child can be loved and taken care of by poor parents. My friend and I were both poor and her mom had cheated and had her, but she was a good mom and my friend had a good life. So I know that it's possible.
