Most wants a thin phone, so Apple did it in the iPhone 6. Definitely there are some compromises like poorer battery life. Honestly speaking, no one wants a thick phone. The only thing I disagree with this case is the price point and how well it protects the phone. In the mean time, otterbox resurgence seems to be the better option

becuase it is better than a other battery case. First of all, it uses Lighting connector, so it will work with all iPhone accessories. You cannot do it with other cases. Second: All other cases likes bulky and heavy. All other cases are plastic junks. This one however, looks nice. Third: it is easy to install. Unlike other cases, you need install several pieces together, Apple case offers easy way to install and easy way to take it out.

I just picked one of these up for my 6s. I was originally very critical of this design until I got it in my hand. At that point my negative opinion faded away. I love this case. I love the feel in hand, the functionality, and the front facing speaker is a really great perk that shouldn't be overlooked. I'm getting better battery life than my old 6 Plus, but maintaining my one handed usage and pocketability. This thing took me by surprise, but ultimately I think it's a total win. I've use other battery cases on my 6 and never liked the matte plastic finish on them. They were too big, too heavy, uncomfortable, and slippery. Apple's silicone material is a great match for this case.

Mike great video as always. You made some good points I never thought about with respect to this case. Some people said why don't they extend the battery to make it more uniform. Yes that may work, but the drawback with that would be you won't be able to flex the top half of the case as easily to slide in the iPhone.

If you leave your iphpne plugged in all day, it damages the battery, so why have a case that's gonna discharge all day into your phone? God apple get your things straight. I really like to see that not everyone on the Internet is 100% pessimistic about this case. I like that fact that it has a lightning port, and I also like that it is one piece. The design is iffy, as it reminds me of ravioli, but then you pointed out that it is slimmer at the edges, I realized that it is actually a pretty good design for when you are holding it with two hands in landscape mode, and it will feel like a regular silicon case aside from the weight. Great review, I really enjoy your positivity in all you vids, so keep it up!

I have this and it works fine. I also have the mohpie and the Apple one is more intuitive and last about the same amount of time. I do however have better reception with the Apple case over the LIfeproof or Mophie. Price is a little high (What Apple products aren't) The apperence is not as bad as you might think. The overall weight is the only downside to any of these cases. Great product for traveling or Hiking... It is what it is!!!!

Steve Jobs is most likely already spinning in his grave, but this is gonna give him an extra twirl. In the first place, Apple should recognize that sacrificing battery life to shave .5mm off the phone is a bad move. It means the phone is too thin. Secondly, if they are going to release an overpriced battery case, the design philosophy should be consistent with the phone. That battery case is hideous, and turns the sleek iPhone into an eyesore.

I think that it doesn't look bad at all... it still is nicely crafted. Most of these third party battery cases look horrible though. Speaking of the headphones connector, would Beats Solo 2 be suitable for this? I hope so, cause it wouldn't be sensible since it's made by Apple as well.

I just got my case today. So far I like it. I compared it to mophie in the store when I bought it. Its more expensive than Mophie . But the new Mophie has changed their design. The case snaps together differently and is not a study as the old Mophie that I had for my iphone 5S . I like that its easier to take on and off and that I can use a regular iphone charger for it. Thanks for the info on the battery , I did not realize that was there. It works for my wireless headphones as well. Who knew?

I actually quite like the design, it's like a backpack for your iPhone, quite quaint. I like that it doesn't turn your phone into a brick, and i should be a lot more comfortable to hold. *However* I really don't understand the need for this case, I never have problems with the battery life on my 6S, so who is this for? I'd opt for a batter pack over this.

I actually like it. Could be better if it was the same depth overall, with even more juice. But hey, apart from the price I found it a great way to improve my 6s battery life. And yes, I do know apple planned it all along just to squeeze me more money :P

The design may look ridiculous but I think that Apple made it so that the iPhone can be grippy and doesn't feel weird..That rectangular pebble can fit into the concave side of the palm when holding the device so that the device feels a little firm and mild-satisfying bulky to hold...I think maybe that's the reason! As the 6s can actually still be used one handedly by most people,I think that's the reason Apple took this step! 😅

Case looks great in my opinion. Nicely designed compared to my current battery case on my 6. Only downside is the fact you can't put the case on standby... To call it smart Apple should have definitely implemented a way to turn the case on and off in the iOS...

That's the one thing I've never gotten, is an external battery for a phone, or computer (laptop) Never had the need for them. I remember when the case first came out and people were making a big deal out of it. I just kind of let it slide by since it was never something I needed.

Would't mind on for my 6 Plus but I do wish there was a on and off switch. I thought maybe a software on/off switch but if your phone dies there would be no way to turn it on.
