Ingredients:
Apples - 4 pcs.
Vodka 40° / Moonshine 40° - 500 ml.
Cane sugar - 100 gr.
Water - 150 ml.
Apple liqueur is very simple to prepare. I use green sour apples, due to which you get an interesting sour-sweet flavor. You can also use a sweeter variety of apples.

I have to give this a try as soon as this years MacIntosh apple harvest is available in a couple weeks or so. For those of you who are not familiar, MacIntosh apples were developed around 100 years ago close to Iroquois in eastern Ontario Canada and are a lovely crisp and tart fruit.

Be sure to give it a try! I was repeating this recipe the other day and added a cinnamon stick, it complements this liqueur well too!

In the video, I use a regular cosmetic cotton pad. But you can use medical absorbent cotton instead

I will definitely try this but will be adding citric acid for more tartness.

I would recommend drinking the drink within half a year or a year. By the way, if you keep the drink in a dark place for a couple more months, the flavor will become richer and tastier 👍

You can also try to make it with rum

Oops, I made an error. The "Mac" was actually developed in 1811 at a farm just NW of Iroquois Ontario.

You can hold it for 14 days, the liquor will only get better! The main thing is at least 7 days. Specifically, I highly recommend adding syrup here, or at least just sugar

Nice!! I'm not a fan of adding cinnamon or using brandy. They just take over the flavor, and i do not like brandy! A bit of honey or brown sugar is enough.

I'm thinking cut down on the brown sugar and use a scotch or bourbon for this.

Excuse me but WHY MAKE SIMPLE SYRUP often simple syrup makes tte liqueur cloudy. I make orange liqueur with orange zest and brandy sometimes vodka whatever I have access to at the time. After tr liquor has extracted the orange flavor I strain the zest out with a coffee filter and then add 1/2 cup of sugar then shake the bottle till sugar dissolves. The orange liqueur is NEVER CLOUDY! I stopped using simple syrup years ago
