Why does no one talk about using it as a Super Apple TV ? I know you just mentioned it in that regard but I have seen people say it is not great as a media computer. I would want something that runs all the streaming app easier than a Roku or Apple TV.

I'm thinking about replacing my 2015 imac 5k, which is now dead slow. I've up the ram, and added an external SSD, but it istill bogs down too much. There only two things I want to run, Lighroom Clasic version 6.1 which I own, it does what I want, and no way a will I use a subscription for a new version for the amount of use I need it. The other is Autodesk Fusion360 for 3d printing modelling. Will the base model M2 mini, work for me. I do have nearly 1T of photos from the pass 20 years, but that can go external SSD ans NAS.

Hi, I am a subscriber. Very close to buying a Mac 2 Mini with 16 and 512 at $999. However, I haven't seem much on audio speakers. I enjoy my KZbin music. Is there a system or audio input? Thank you

In terms of audio output, there is a built-in speaker, but it is quite bad and you shouldn't use it for anything serious. You can plug in headphones or speakers via the 3.5mm headphone jack, or get some that connect via USB or Bluetooth. There is no built-in microphone but you can connect one via USB or Bluetooth. You can also connect one via the 3.5mm headphone jack, with a proper adapter (plugging in a normal 3.5mm mic into the headphone port without an adapter won't work)

dexo8040's reply basically covered it all with regards to speaker options. Note that if you do get USB speakers, you'll want to plan to have enough ports along with any other USB devices (like mouse or keyboard) you plan to use. Since the M2 Mac mini has only 2 USB-A and 2 USB-C (Thunderbolt) ports, if you have 3 USB-A devices, for example, you may need some USB-C / USB-A adapters or a USB hub. Bluetooth speakers can be a bit annoying to connect for a permanent desk setup, and can also have some delay. Often video players (including KZbin) will sync the audio and video to account for any delay and it doesn't matter if just listening to music, but real-time sounds (like system sounds, or if you play games) could have noticeable delays.

Hi I'm thinking of upgrading to the M2 Mac mini. I do some part time day trading and I'm also thinking of buying the LG OLED482C. I will split the right hand 3rd side of the screen with three stacked windows, 2 of which will be live horse racing pictures and the 3rd will be live feed data. The 2 left hand parts of the monitor will be live trading ladders. Do you think the base M2 Mac mini can provide all this in 4k? Thank you.

I have the LG 48" OLED with the base Mac mini M2 and run multiple windows at the same time split on the screen using Moom and it runs perfectly with no slow down or stuttering.

@@alanjackson2540 I have the C2 model. The only thing you may consider is that the base Mac mini only supports 60Hz while the M2 Pro supports 120Hz. Not sure how much of a difference that makes, but it is something that may interest you with the LG OLED.
