Also I saw that it has some thermal issues. Which makes is slower and it might affect it in the long run. Why apple is not doing development on Metal API. These chips are beast and can trade blows with AMD & Intel. From Gaming perspective, apple can overtake these two processor giants.

But Metal API and macOS not so friendly with game engines. Some games do have Mac ports and work well but a majority of game engines don't support it. Hence people have to use translation layers and virtualisation softwares. Some games work well but most have graphical glitches or low FPS.

even after m2 air m1 air worth every penny display is really great. But its main feature is battery life its crazy long i can easily use this m1 macbook for 3 days without charge which is insane windows laptop wont even last 1 full day. This is after 6 months of use.

My workflow: 5-10 chrome windows having almost 10 tabs open in each window, a video open in vlc media player(I'll probably won't have to use vlc on a mac), and a file is being downloaded in Utorrent. The main thing is , in overall performance MacBook Air M1 base variant is better than M2 base variant because there is only 1 256 gb ssd but in MacBook Air M1 , there are 2 128 gb seperate SSD so MacBook Air M1 is faster & still budget king & if you like M2 MacBook Air look then go for 512 GB to get performance

Using M1 MacBook Pro here. Everything is great and the whole experience is awesome. But one thing really pisses me off. Why couldn't Apple have put two more USB4 or Thunderbolt 3 ports. 2 USBC ports are very less considering if you're charging your device and you wanna use two USBC peripherals. Have to use a damn dongle which is not cheap

Brother you are using 512gb varient thats why getting a good SSD speeds but base model is with single and chip which is 0.5x slow than previous gen M1 and also it throttles a lot in base varient because M2 is more power hungry Aapko mention karna that video me !!!
