Anyone notice that these stories basically always have the same ending? Protagonist is rich and lives a happy life with their husband/wife/baby while the antagonist either ends up alone, or in some slum of an apartment and there's ALWAYS some debt involved

If Mother In Laws are about 20 year older than Daughter In Laws, can't the DIL just tell the MIL to just STFU and leave me alone? Stop answering all calls from MIL = Problem Solved. If she comes over and puts hands on you, you're an adult, she's an adult = defend yourself. Don't be scared something bad is going to happen just because a MIL is supposed to be a deity.
