Ugh, mom friends again. Who does Kassandra think she is? Oh, she’s the mom boss of course. Ooo! Clever girl. Kassandra changed the meeting spot! Ooo! Ice cream! Payback time. This just got really confusing. So Kassandra’s in her brother’s car and her husband is following them in a rental car? So the “brother” is not her brother…and the other ladies and her kid don’t know this? Ridiculous.

It's starting to feel like they just keep rehashing the same plot lines over and over. Narcissist lady tries to take leader role of mom group. Somebody pulls some crazy scheme and throws other people under the bus so they can sneak off with their lover, often abandoning their kid to force others to babysit. Somebody forcefully invites themselves to an event(trip/dinner/etc) so they can mooch. Arrogant spouse and/or in-laws treating the main character like a slave. People not knowing/understanding a work from home job or other non-standard job and kicking somebody out for being a "mooch" when they're the ones owning/supporting the household, often so that the person trying to kick them out can move in because they intend to mooch themselves. Crazy HOA stories. There's a whole bunch of common plots, sometimes mixed and matched. The problem is, I can't tell anymore whether they're just inventing new stories with the same plot elements, of if they're actually real, because when I looked up symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder, all these crazy things that happen in these stories are well within the realm of something they could do. I also read that NPD is apparently not nearly rare enough for my comfort.

Maybe this whole " mom friends " thing is why the birthrate in Japan is so catastrophically low. Japanese women are mostly choosing NOT to have children. (This channel comes from Japan). I mean would you want to have to practice verbal martial arts every time you stepped out of your house?
