Sometimes, it takes getting a taste of our own medicine to really see what our actions do to others. This doesn't always happen, mind you, and people can double-down on their horrible behavior. I'm hoping for their sake that the MIL really took this experience to heart and is making active choices to better herself for her son and in-laws.

Everybody calling each other "mom" and was SUPER confusing...and lol meh, people only know what they know - the mom needed an openminded friend OUTSIDE of her own bubble- and to get a taste of her own medicine- FOREVER ago!! Lol love this- and yay, an original story!!

Now THIS is a GREAT story where no one is cheating or treating people wrong and not understanding that what they did was wrong or going into debt and getting lost somewhere. This was a good way to teach and learn that we are all humans and we ALL can own up to our mistakes and still have a good life. Thank you to the creators of this story ❤!

What is it with people who insist on apologies. Anyone who has to be coerced into apologizing doesn’t mean it anyway. If anyone sincerely is sorry, they will do it voluntarily. You make kids do it because it is the way they learn, but adults either apologize voluntarily or it is useless.

There is only one problem that I know of living in the country, its when a city person moves to the country on an acreage then complains about the smell of the hog/cattle farm near by. I have read several news stories about people doing that where I live.

Or when people move next to a small family-owned(for over 50 years) airport, and get upset about airplanes using the runways. (In a formerly very rural county of New Jersey in the U.S. where I grew up)

Loving the husband in this story
@Annfam52 ай бұрын
Oddly enough, I am from a major city. I married a "Country Boy". His mother was looking down on me for living in a major city. Most people in that town looked down on City living. They said, if you are not from the country, you aren't worth anything. So, it goes both ways. The worst years of my life were spent in the countryside. 15 years of my life wasted on a stuckup community. If you weren't FROM the country especially that town was snubbed. Most people moved because of the stuckup nature of the town. Well, moved out when kids went to college to a city! MUCH BETTER for both myself and my country husband (he said he always wanted to leave). It didn't have anything to do with money it had everything to do with "You aren't born and raised here so you are not worth it".

The only reason why the city is regarded as good is because it's more modern due to roads and buildings etc. But that doesn't mean the countryside are bad. They are still the birth places of many, and the origin of most of the knowledge and hard work for people to get where they are now, which includes them being able to move to the city to live a comfortable life. 🙁

After WWII, Dad, Uncle, and Gramma&Grampa took a west-bound train from Penn Station NYC, looking for a less crowded place to live than Washington Heights . They found it in an incredibly tiny town in northwest New Jersey. Their new home was within an easy walking distance of the train station. (Gramma’s long-time eye doctor was in NYC) Uncle and Dad found lovely women to marry and lived close by. Gramma&Grampa lived in the home until they passed in 1967 and 1968.

Even at a funeral, MIL thinks it's about her & she's the queen.. I found Jenny quite rude and disrespectful... I don't think I would've been as respectful as Kathy if that was my mom she was talking mess about... if someone has to be prompted or forced to apologize, the apology is not sincere or real. An apology should be given if the person is truly remorseful and felt they did something wrong. I have never asked for an apology, I wouldn't want it if I have to ask for it
@georgiegal67452 ай бұрын

Jenny is a hypocrite.. it was a hoot when she was looking down people that live in the countryside....but loses her crap when someone dare speaks on the city.. the audacity of her.. she can dish it but can't take it. Also, houses in the city cost way more than houses in the countryside.. I've found mini mansions in the countryside hundreds of thousands cheaper than houses in the city. It's weird this is a competition😂😂

I am noticing a trend in these videos were the daughter in law and son in law calling their in laws mom and dad. That is odd to me because my family don't call them that. They are still family but mom and dad are reserved for the parents that raised us. Does anyone else call their in laws mom and dad. Not throwing shade, just asking.

Older GenXer here. Mother/Father or their first names, if told we could use them. Mom/Dad was for our own parents, otherwise it's a bit too informal. It is a matter of respect first, then familiarity.
