These stories originate in Japan, China, and other Asian countries. The marriage and inheritance and financial laws may be different than the country you live in there may even be different family traditions that aren't easily understood. These stories are edited for dramatic affect. Sometimes, the translation from one language to another doesn't always make proper grammatical sense. Just enjoy the story for what it is, entertainment.

I actually read one where one person asked "How many times are we going to have this same conversation?" and the other person responded "Until we get to the point where, if this were a story, the hypothetical word count were to be reached." (See ya, fourth wall!) Pretty sure that's the only time one of these stories has made me crack up laughing out loud.

While these stories are from Japan I can understand this. A pregnant woman has difficulty doing housework and getting around when they have a big belly. IF they can go back to their parents and the parents can still do housework etc it would be easier on her. Of course some ethnic groups have more traditions of family pitching in than others.

Yes, I read that somewhere else about the origins of these stories and I understand about the rest of it. What I have an issue with is the fact that they don't bother to correct the spelling and grammatical errors nor do they seem worried about practicing before recording sessions. If they would do those things they would make the listening experience so much better for their subscribers.

S1: WTF is this dialogue 21:32, 22:55, 24:08, 24:50. This is horribly written, sentences don’t make sense or run on. And the mother is too monotone for some who is supposed to be angry. S2: Sherry must smoke a pack a day. S3: Why does Tyson needlessly deepen his voice sometimes? He sounds ridiculous.

A little questionable story because if she got slapped on both sides of her face while she had water in her mouth. I think that she would have swallowed it or spit it out more than likely. So when her face got slammed into the pot roast, I don't know how she would have been able to spit out water. Hummm

It must be an Asian thing, going back to the hometown. What about the continuation of care? I wouldn't think of swapping out my midwife team, late in pregnancy, and hope that I meshed well with strangers?

Okay, interesting scenario, I guess... but what is with all the confusing dialogue?!? Nobody even talks like that! 'Do you know the secret that you should not know but I think you do know because Mom knows so I think you know, too? Plus, that whole two way conversation about Mom and Dad selling the house, and the company that bought it turned into a parking lot? The added words are just too much, making this whole scenario completely unbelievable. I don't know who is writing your scripts, but they REALLY need to learn better conversational English...

Who is writing these lately? The clunky exposition as dialogue is crazy bad. AI can’t be responsible, it wouldn’t be THIS bad. This can only be a human’s fault..
