This pencil is absolutely worth it! I don't think my pencil battery has ever gotten below 75% because it not only holds it's charge very well, but it's so easy and convenient to connect it via the magnets. I don't think people understand the convenience of just slapping it on the magnets to charge. I use the double tap feature to switch back and forth from writing to eraser all the time. It's so smooth when writing and the pen itself is perfectly balanced. My kid is always asking to play with it and draw. 100% recommend. ***Not a sponsored comment btw

Pen feel is a VERY personal thing. I hated the surface pen. Felt like a cheap biro to me. The new pencil is waaay better balanced then the old one, and the thinness I adapted to pretty quick, as well as the double tap - didn’t miss an eraser on the back at all, in fact when I’m using a traditional pencil, none of mine has an eraser on the back anyway-I haven’t bought a pencil with one for years, so I’ve never missed it. My opinion anyway.

So I am using that as a tablet for my 5 year old son and got this 9th gen version. MUCH faster, a little slimmer, smaller bezels, all around a leap forward. Plus, for the price that’s about $130-$150 cheaper than a current new model this is a nice deal. I look forward to the M-series CPUs coming into iPads which will really help future proof these tablets better but these latest CPUs are pretty strong and should do better to last several years with no compromises.

best thing is the free engraving of whatever you want, and magnetic thing . Just sticks there and it also has pen pressure. Fact that you can put your palm on the iPad while using the pen good feature too. The engraving makes the pen and only thing to complain is since I hold my pen lower than most ppl it’s hard to reach the double tap spot. A good pen either way. Would recommend 10/10 Just my review

For my shaped hand & long thin fingers, the Apple Pencil 2 is ideal. I love it, it’s very natural for me. So it’s subjective as well - depending on what suits you. I still have tips I bought previously which I haven’t used.

My only concern is that sometimes the tip feels like scratching the display.... it creeped me out, I don't want scratches on my new iPad pro 12.9 but fortunately there is no scratches yet... I got my iPad for drawing, sketching and architectural work.. also photography edition so I need to wait for photoshop until next year but the apple pencil the feels really good... I'm planning to get a screen film protector but there isn't any out right now....

Yes they do. Seriously, get the iPad Pro. Unless you can spend like 3,000 on a Wacom for professional use then the iPad Pro is always going to be a heck of a lot better imo. It’s arguably better than anything Wacom has. With tools like Procreate, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Photo.... this is an incredible design/art machine.

@@DanielRomero I knew its a beast for a designer, just wanted to gather as most cons and pros as I can :) After like a half day of searching info about rotation sensitivity, went to local apple shop, to get an answer, ofc they have to search for it by them self :D while waiting I just spent my time productively by messing with apple pencil. The interesting thing is that it wasn't the first time I'm testing it, and every single time I pick it up and just paint a few strokes it surprises like its a first time, how freaking good it is... Of course, employee came back and ignited a smile in my face that pencil has a rotation sensor :) I guess that was the last time we had to break apart :D ordering tomorrow one. Is it a bug or why am I not able to use my new Apple Pencil to resize a split-view screen when running two apps or using the pen to swipe up and go to the home screen. This puzzles me. I have to use my finger for these gestures on my new iPad Pro. Do you have this issue as well? I can’t remember if that was the same with the old pencil and iPad Pros. Besides that I think the new Apple Pencil is way better and more comfortable then the old one. Nice videos covering the new iPad Pro stuff 👍

It’s not a bug, that’s just how it’s been all along. However, with the old Apple Pencil, you can replace the end cap with an aftermarket rubbery type and those swipe gestures will actually work. However, I am by no means suggesting back-dating for that. Lol!

Unfortunately, no. Only the newest Pro iPads can use this pencil. Older iPad Pros and other new iPads like the Mini and Air have to use the 1st gen pencil

The thing about the 12.9 is that it’s definitely not as easily portable. If you don’t mind moving around a larger device then the larger screen is definitely awesome! Personally I like the smaller screen as it’s a bit more portable :)

Daniel Romero if you only want it for consuming media you should probably go for one of the new iPad Air model as that would be fine but less expensive, I have the iPad pro 2018 11” and Apple Pencil 2 for school work which its really good for, but if you just want to consume media and browse you won’t really need a pro and you’d be fine with on of the cheaper models

It ain’t got pressure or tilt sensitivity though, along with being able to ignore your palm on the ipad screen. Apple pencil 2 totally worth it for artists and the like. First Timer Here..... Thanks for this video. I just ordered an Apple Pencil and I was wondering if it came with at least an extra tip. Disappointed ☹️. I guess I’m gonna have to order replacement just in case the tip wears out since I have a paper like screen on my iPad for note taking

Paperlike screen is actually better for the nib. It lasts longer using that surface.

Unfortunately, it only works on newer iPad Pros

If it's the older iPad Pro 12.9 without the rounded display then this will not work. You'd have to get the First Generation Apple Pencil that is Glossy/Round.
