Trust me when I say this is not a purchase I could justify ordinarily, it was purely fueled by a silly Black Friday event for Apollo where I said all the proceeds would go toward buying this pipe dream monitor I was drooling over, and for whatever reason a bunch of people had that capitalistic fire burn in their belly and ended up clearing enough for this crazy monitor. I'm surprised as you, it doesn't feel real haha. It was kinda like "*I* can't justify this, but if people want me to have it who am I to say no to the will of the people?!" And dinospoon always be chillin there

Just on Amazon! It's a dual monitor mount, I used to have a lower monitor but don't use one now. This is the VIVO STAND-V002R, pretty cheap too!

Aww, that's really nice to hear. :) I made them myself with some leftover wood. The pole part is walnut and the stand/surface the speakers sit on is maple.

Yes one of the "tendrils" (that cannot be the right word) on the whisk is sharpened to a point on Canadian whisks

It's really nice for ergonomics, typing all day can be really rough if your hands are smushed together like on normal keyboards. Look into "ulnar deviation". It helped wrist pain for me so I'd definitely look into it!

Exellent ergonomical approach to the mounting, I was afraid for a moment there was going to be a reach-across and I would have shat myself if it happened. Your unboxing videos have justified my Ultra subscription (that and the icons...)

Hahaha nothing that intense. I had it stored for a bit, and when I took it out it was bent somehow, so I tried to bend it back into shape a little bit and… bam, turns out glass doesn't like to be bent. I'm an idiot. Oddly enough you can't feel the shatter though, it's on like a sublayer?

i guess you're not looking for an answer anymore but i'll still provide you with one: it's just a really good screen, apart from having a great color accuracy, fucked up resolution (it's 6016x3384 or whatever, it's 16:9 6K) and 10bit color (although it's not oled, it's still basically an IPS so you won't have true blacks like on macbook screens) it also has macos compatibility which you can't say about many other screens (the text gets a bit fucked up on 3rd party screens) is it worth it? not for me, not for you if you're asking and i'm pretty sure not for christian but if you look for alternatives (3 years ago) there's not much else with the same availability or the same price christian thanks people for the monitor because he developed and published Apollo, (the best) 3rd party client for reddit and supported it until reddit killed 3rd party apps, and while the app is free (and ad-free), you could support christian via buying premium (i don't even remember which features were locked by it, i've never needed it), buying pixel pals (his other app) and other stuff

Those are some Micca PB42X, their non-powered counterpart get a ton of love on Reddit for being really cheap but amazing sounding speakers (MB42X). These are the powered model so you don't need an amp to power them, which is slightly nicer for a desk setup. But yeah they sound really great for the price and don't look half bad.

@@cselig HAHA OH SHIT, remember those 9K speakers I mentioned the other day? MB42X :p Man, they deserve all the praise they get. But I didn’t even know the PB42X existed. Once I’m able to get a bigger desk/setup, I’ll probably be on the look out for some bigger speakers (these won’t fit on my tiny-ass desk). If the MB42X is anything to go by, the siblings looks like a great pick, given I don’t want to deal with an amplifier for a PC setup. In any case, congratulations on the lovely new monitor, man. That code gon look extra pretty. +_+

It’s a Quefrency kit! You have to build it yourself (you buy a little DIY kit) but it’s a fun afternoon project. You need the key caps and the key switches too. My key caps are from PMK and the key switches are just some generic ones from aliexpress

The desk frame is a Fully Jarvis standing desk, and the table top is an IKEA Karlby in oak that I cut terribly with a handsaw in the IKEA parking lot
