I would ordinarily agree with you when it comes to most Apple products, but the Studio Display is truly one of Apples best valued products. That is, relative to its competitors. The Studio Display is in a completely different league to the Samsung monitor, as it is meant for professionals who would ordinarily spend 50k for a similarly-specced pro monitor. But yeah, apple tax is a killer, especially for the iPhone and Mac.

@@aneeshramakrishnan1958 nah the studio display has a fucking lcd panel, nobody is gonna pay 50k an lcd not to mention it's literally just an imac with a larger screen. which, the imac you can get for LESS than the studio display. and the imac is an actual computer, not just a monitor. exact same screen resolution, exact same speaker, exact same camera. better chip, and an actual computer. for 200 dollars less.

@@merbudd I should have clarified - if you actually check the prices for these monitors, the Studio Display is 1500-1800 dollars, and Apples higher end Pro Display XDR is 5-6k. Not 50k. But yeah, I would still agree that the Studio Display is bad value.

Also for about the same amount of money you can buy the Samsung Odyssey G9, which is basically 2 27 inch monitors fused together, but it has mini LED, so its contrast is significantly better at the cost of a little blooming.
