Sonoma is a lovely little town in California's wine country, some 50 miles north of San Francisco. The region is known for its red wines, particularly Cabernet Sauvignons in the valley, and Pinot Noirs towards the coast. The town itself is full of tasting rooms, excellent restaurants, and art galleries. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Hi Jaynee, if you're using a Mac you can go into the View (at the top of your screen) and choose how you want your list to show. At the bottom of the menu you can choose oldest or newest first.

A) You said the information button was missing in column view. Later you tapped an item & lo and behold, the information button. B) In the new iOS, a three fingered swipe, right to left, activates undo.

Todoist has served me well for 10+ years. I know it inside out; it's never let me down and continues to get better and better. Apple Reminders, while getting better, is not any better than Todoist, so the time cost of switching has no advantage for me.

Love Apple Reminders but is there way I can create a reminder and have it show up in Apple calendar much like in todoist where you can create a project and task to show up on Google calendar?
@Carl_Pullein Жыл бұрын
Would you not then have a task in two places? You can drag and drop a task into your calendar, and the title will become the event. However, you now have a task acting as an event and an event acting as a task. (very confusing). A good old-fashioned GTD principle: If it has to be done at a specific time on a specific day, it goes on your calendar. If it can be done anytime, it goes on your task list.

I struggle with a reminder that comes up and then goes away without me even seeing it? Let me know if I am missing something as I am not always in front of screen, so if a reminder comes up and then goes away, then I miss it completely. Kinda seems like a fail if the whole point of the reminders app is to remind you of things you might forget. Anyways, great video, really appreciate you doing this one.
@ianc.5632 Жыл бұрын
On your iPhone or iPod, go to Settings, then find Reminders. Once in Reminders, go to Notifications, then tap on Banner Style and select “Persistent.” Once you’ve done that, the reminder banners will remain on the screen until you swipe them away. You can follow the same steps for any other app that you want the notification banner to remain on the screen until you swipe it away.

Anything that needs to be done at a specific time on a given day will go into my calendar. Everything else goes into my task manager. For example, if I need to send my expenses to my accountant on Friday, that would be a task. It may take thirty minutes or so to prepare the expenses, but I can do it at any time in the day.

I really wanted to use Apple reminders but every time I tried to use it, the reminder that pops up would pop up, not make any sound, and then dismiss itself and I would never even see the stupid reminder. I use other apps because they at least are persistent with the reminder that pops up. That way, if I am not looking at my watch/phone/ipad, I don't miss the reminder. It is so frustrating that the pop up reminders are not persistent. Great video, thanks for all the work to do this.
