Its in beta you will be able to get it when iOS 16 comes out

you are able to get it if you have ios 16 beta installed on your device (i do) and if your iphone has a lidar sensor (i don’t have it)

also you can get photocatch which is kind of similar, it creates a 3d model from pictures or video/videos, and it doesn’t require a lidar capable device

Idk what specific apps it would be useful for, but it lays the groundwork for projecting guardian boundaries in an XR headset :p

@@yoongichi9557 you're not thinking outside the box enough, NO SHOT that apple developed this just for that specific super niche use-case. what i'm implying is that this is pretty obviously tech that could be used in a VR/AR headset as well

why not just acquire matterport and their database... the amount of resources to try build something which is already in the market is not efficient. Roomplan seems much more rudimentary than what matterport is currently at

AFAIK Matterport is not parametric
