Apple's TouchBar Returns Better Than Ever?!

What they should of done was, have kept the original F keys there, and not have them replaced with the touchbar, but just have put the touchbar above the keys.

Exactly there was literally no reason to not have it in addition to the F keys. There is tons of extra space in the top deck. So fucking dumb.

My thoughts as well. Some changes take much longer for people to adapt to. This is definitely one of them. Always felt that TouchBar had so much potential, just needed time and more of a push between Apple and Developers.

I also agree. It cost me a lot of productivity, because I had a lot of shortcuts and macros on the Function keys. Plus, I was really used to the escape key. Having to always look down and not rely on muscle memory, I ended up always carrying a keyboard with me. I would 100% use the touchbar if my function keys stayed in place and maybe I had the chance to transition to touchscreen macros and shortcuts on my own pace.

The touchbar was never a problem for anyone, it was the removal of the function keys. If they can somehow fit a touchbar + fn keys, without sacrificing the keyboard size or the trackpad size, it would be awesome

My Touchbar crashes, which means I lose my volume controls and others until I reboot. Such a pain.

They should have kept it above the functions key row. It would be an amazing addition with all the coming ai features. Giving u ai control without cluttering your screen with al the settings and extra ai menus

Always felt that Touch Bar had so much potential. The function rows should have remained along with the TouchBar. Perhaps more important is to move its placement to the top of the TouchPad. It probably does not need the full length of the keyboard. Placement at top of touchpad makes so much ergonomic sense. Your hand is already resting or moving right there.

Nope, i don't need an extra tiny screen, for things I can eiter do much faster with a function key or mouse/touchpad.
