True. At some point, we've really got to acknowledge that for some things, being 'normal' is actually the best option. If wheels were not circles, we've got issues. Likewise, a mouse needs to be a design that allows a user to hold in their hands... not with their fingers.

The arguments: 1) the mouse cant be utilized while charging? true. 2) you cant rest your hand while using it? true. in my case, I charge my Magic Mouse 2 every few weeks... (yes weeks! and I use it every day!) at times when I don't need it (I'm sleeping, eating, running, shopping out of home/office) 2) I naturally rest my hand on the pad mouse, not on the magic mouse 2. Therefore, while true, points 1 and 2 are NOT GOOD POINTS to call this a terrible product. it Is not perfect? @PJ-io8pl3 жыл бұрын
The battery lasts for at least a couple months, and the mouse warns you days before when you need a charge. Plus, a 2 minute charge gives you like 9 hours of battery life. There really should never be a need to use the mouse while charging, and if you need to use the mouse immediately but it’s out of charge, then that’s completely on you. So yes, the design is completely intentional. It’s understandable why Apple lets you charge the keyboard or trackpad while using them, because those devices are always stationary. Apple doesn’t allow you to use the Magic Mouse while charging, because then some people will always leave it plugged in, and that goes against Apple’s design and aesthetics of the mouse being an always wireless device. Is the mouse ugly and not very ergonomic? Sure, maybe. But is it poorly designed. No, I don’t think so.

why did they put the Charger at the bottom to the Magic Mouse???
@davidjacobs62443 жыл бұрын
Because it’s meant to be wireless and not used while charging.

I actually still use a gen 1 apple mouse and it’s the only mouse that… doesn’t cramp my hand. I have a gen 1 track pad that I love too.

You must have a gen 1 hand.

I use a Surface Arc Touch Mouse with my iPad Pro, even though I have a Magic Mouse 2.

I unfortunately use my Magic Mouse every day, thankfully most of what I do is writing code so I'm mostly on my keyboard, but yeah, it's pretty terrible. I often swap over to my Logitech Mouse but I will say the tracking on the Magic Mouse is really REALLY good. So when I'm photo editing, I swap to the magic mouse.

Is it good enough for photo and video editing? I just thought to get this mouse. Tbh i love the minimalist design but yeah read some bad review about it.

@@amatmulisha2978 The tracking on it is almost like a cheat code. I have unsteady hands when it comes to mouse movements, my Logitech proves that day in and day out, but I can edit in Lightroom and Photoshop all day long with my Magic Mouse and it'll hold a straight line like nothing else. I think of it like "image stabilization" but on a mouse. If that makes sense.

@@DaveAdams222 ahh i see. Thanks for the reply. Does the battery is hold longer?
@DaveAdams2223 жыл бұрын
@@amatmulisha2978 That depends on your definition of "long". The worst part is that to charge it, it's a two step process. 1. The mouse has to be set to off. 2. It charges at the bottom. It's such a bad design, BUT, that said, I use my iMac a LOT and I get between a month and a half and two months of usage.

Apple obviously doesn’t want the user to use it when it is being charged. I am guessing they are afraid by leaving it plugged in and using it you will break the mouse. This is all just a guess.

7+ minutes of ranting about a mouse??? Now THAT is bad!!! Oh, and I love my Magic Mouse.

Worst design Apple products? Where do we start. The titanium MacBook which literally broke. The much later MacBook with the cable inside that was too short, so every time you open the screen you stretched it and eventually broke it. iPhone four, which worked wonderfully until you went to hold it in your hand. The cube Macintosh, overheated, failed internally.

I can't control my laugh because today also I have cursed the mouse design and speed

Yes agree, hate that mouse with a passion.

I think it’s great. It is ergonomic. The problem is just the lightning cable on the bottom. The cable placement is just awful.

funny thing is I actually like the hockey puck mouse back in 2001 when I was using it for graphics class

Doug Engelbart designed the mouse is 1960, so 60 years ago. The trackpad is the new mouse, apparently.

They should have kept the Mighty Mouse form factor and added the touch surface. Perfect!

Agree with this video. Also the acceleration curve sucks on the Magic Mouse making it hard to point

Honestly it’s not that deep. Used for 6 years. Battery life lasts about a month and when I need to charge. I plug in when I’ve finished work. And when I use my computer again. The mouse is charged
@101numlock3 жыл бұрын
They don’t want people to leave it plugged in all the time and destroy the battery in it.
