Given that it took a long time for that guy to pass his exams, it suggests he wasn't top tier lawyer material. Which means a law firm wasn't likely to give him any high profile clients or cases. He would have to start from the bottom rung in any firm and prove himself first - they would not risk important cases with a newbie. So the story premise stretched the bounds of credibility to breaking point.

Don't know if this is what happened to my husband's sister or what. But, her husband became a big shot judge and she has NOTHING to do with the rest of the family. Even at their mother's funeral, she acted like she didn't want to be there, and was the first one back in a car at the gravesite. I had no way to get in touch with her when my husband died. Her family was, I think, the last to get there before the service started. She ignored her other brother, sat all the way in the back, and didn't stick around once the service was done.

Bless his heart???? mam that is Southern slang for when you know something is wrong. Example a new baby isn't always cute, when a woman looks at your baby and says oh bless their heart, thy just called your baby ugly 😅
