Ha! You're not supposed to spend the night at the hospital, but I spent every day and night there after my husband's transplant. A hospital bed holds two if one lies on her side and hugs the bedrail. The nurses thought we were cute lol

The nurses always give my DH a pillow & blanket for the chair that turns into a bed. He usually uses the fold out for 2 or 3 days or until I am no longer in "danger". Please and thank you works wonders!

My husband stayed with me after every single surgery I ever had, unless he was working (he worked midnight most of our marriage). He either stayed in my bed, in the hospital chair or some of my private rooms had pullout beds for parents and/or spouses.
