I think I would have blocked Janet the minute she sent those texts throwing a hissy fit over Kate inviting another mum to her house BEFORE inviting Janet. It's MY house, so who, and when I choose to invite someone over is MY business, and my business alone. Sending a text DEMANDING to be invited over is NOT the correct, polite or mature way to behave. So, when Janet dropped the "give me 5 grand" demand, none of her messages would have made it through to me, seeing as she would have been blocked a long time ago. So I find it very hard to believe that the other mothers, the 1s who were part of Kate's (cough) "other mum group", just gave Janet the 5 thousand dollars. Aren't they all meant to be some kind of ex gang members too? Yet they just rolled over and paid up? None of them did anything about it? They all just went along with everything Janet said and did, until Kate came along, refused to pay up, and put a stop to all Janet's shenanigans once and for all by calling the police and getting her arrested for extortion? Yeah, no, I don't buy that. Not at all. Aside from the gaping holes in the story, I still enjoy hearing the antagonist get taken down a peg or 2. Or, in this case, 5🤣🤣

The fact Janet whined about the fact Kate called the police on her for extortion when Janet said she was going to call the police on her cause of what sounds like a threat. Gotta love these stories were OP turns out to be part of a gang or is an ex-gang member & while sometimes uses the gang to help settle thing manages to get the police involved so things can be settled legally especially if the legal way will cause more damage to the antagonist. While it was kinda funny insulting her(which was kinda deserved) calling her a slut felt out of place as it made it seem like she was sleeping with people(or attempting to do so) behind her husband's back when in reality it was threats, blackmail, harassment & extortion. My mom never tried telling me not to talk to certain kids...and if she had, I doubt I would have listened. I was very headstrong and contrary to things if I didn't understand and agree with them to blindly follow what any adult said about how to negatively handle peers. I didn't even listen to her advice on how to handle bullies because it sounded so ineffective to me as a kid. Ignore it? That doesn't really work with kids. Works GREAT with adults, not so much with kids who take ignoring as an okay to continue doing what they're doing. I wanted some snappy comebacks, and was told to ignore bullies... No I went toe to toe with them instead.
