Your mate can either be your partner or your downfall. Molly was Brad's downfall. She was sabotaging him and their daughter with her shenanigans. She's embarrassed by Brad's job.. molly spent her time being jealous and envious of her friends husband's. Molly should've gotten a job, she has way too much time and energy on her hands. Brad shouldve immediately ended this marriage a long time ago. She didn't have any respect for him. No relationship can survive without respect.

What's wrong with a para-legal? Lawyers need them for research, serving papers, police station attendance, interviewing witnesses and clients. The only difference between a paralegal and a lawyer is that a lawyer has 'rights of audience' in a court of law. They also have to sign off everything that the paralegals do, a paralegal is an employee, with a guaranteed salary whereas a lawyer is self employed. Their income depends on their performance and reputation.

There are two types of entitled people: those who are narcissists, and those who play victim. Antagonist is this one decided to play victim. She created a delusion that because her social situation was different and not as cushy as others, it must mean others oppressed her. There are true victims, like the protagonist and Brad and the neighborhood, and false victims, like the antagonist who chose to take from and blame others. A person only deserves what they have worked for and earned, but the entitled will always demand more than they have earned.

So.. one 'little' thing... It's kinda illegal to impersonate a lawyer or a police officer, or anything like that... and there could even be a fine by doing so, if not prison time. I don't know if it's the same everywhere but in a few places that's the case... I don't know what the consequences are for someone else making you seem like an official as you aren't directly impersonating though I think there are somethings on bystanders at least in a few crimes... but yeah.. Molly screwed up and there could have been a lot more done about this(I think, idk I'm not in the law field..) Edit: Soo... ending was kinda nice, though I'm somewhat dissapointed they didn't see what criminal charges they could press, saying they are lawyers shouldn't they have known what they could do? either way glad Molly got what she mostly deserved(she deserved more but at least she's paying..)

It sounds like Molly had an inferiority complex or something due to the rich friends she use to have & didn't manage to deal with it after moving to places that didn't brag or shit like the rich people. Brad sacrificed a lot for her & realized some things weren't for him & she didn't care to the point she was unaware just how bad things got for her daughter. While it's nice she actually seems worried about her daughter but a part of me thinks it's cause the bullying & shit makes the family's reputation look bad plus she didn't care about how much her husband was struggling. I feel bad for her now ex-husband & her daughter, I hope with Molly gone the stress will lessen & they can work on their health. I hope the kids apologize to her, maybe OP talks things out with the other moms & they talk to their kids about it, the kids apologize & try to make up for their actions due to listening to their parents get mad it likely won't help much but it's a start & she deserves an apology after her mom caused other kids to bully her cause they heard the stress from their parents.(Maybe also an apology from the parents as well) I'm glad Brad doesn't need to worry about Molly anymore, it's a shame he felt he had to stay but it seems he realized he needed to get out of there with his daughter at last. Hope he & his daughter can have a nice life away from Molly. I also hope Brad if he decides to date again finds someone that actually cares & is nothing like Molly along with also being able to accept his daughter. I hope Molly manages to pay off all the people she owes money to cause they deserve it after she ran out on the bill & threatened them. She better hope emotional damages & child support aren't part of what she owes cause her ex-husband & daughter deserve compensation for what she put them through.

@CeltycSparrow Жыл бұрын
So if your husband, the fancy lawyer, is condoning you taking advantage of your friends and making them pay for you, then WHY are you apologizing to her? What are you apologizing FOR, if you feel you've done nothing wrong. CLEARLY, even though your husband condones you leeching off your friends, your conscience isn't so kind....perhaps you are feeling guilty at 1:00 in the morning when you called her to apologize. The weight of all that guilt probably kept you up at night and you called her impulsively, just to be free of that guilt. And I don't think this woman quite realizes the grave mistake she has made in claiming that her husband is a lawyer, when he is not. This is considered to be a misdemeanor...it it literally you committing fraud by misrepresenting what your husband does, just to make you feel special and to your impress your rich friends with your husband's impressive job and education. This is a misdemeanor that can get you fined $1000 and forced to serve one year in prison. That's probably WHY she moves around so much....so they don't get caught. And if being friends with those rich moms means lying and compromising your integrity and committing fraud, then they aren't worth being friends with. Its not worth paying that much. A TRUE friend cares about you and doesn't compromise your integrity. And your refusing to pay your own way is not only hurting your friends....its also hurting your daughter because she is being dragged all over the country and forced to change schools due to her mother's perfidious and manipulative actions and now, she's being bullied in school because of you. Shame on you. You should ABSOLUTELY pay that $5000 back to your friends AND you should do better in the future about paying for yourself....for your daughter's sake and for your friends' sake, as well. Do this for them, if not for yourself. CHOOSE to be the better woman.

If her husband really is a lawyer, she wouldn't DARE tell him, because her husband would flip his shht about his wife breaking the law so flagrantly, using *him* as an excuse. That's enough to get an investigation into whether or not he approved of that lie in advance, which could lead to his disbarring. (Unless, of course, he's as stupid as her...)

Knowing an employers address is not illegal but pretending to be a lawyer is. Now that it's public knowledge. Graduation doesn't make you a lawyer just like graduating nursing school. A nurse has to pass state boards and a lawyer has to pass the bar exam. Without a passing grade on the bar a graduate is just a glorified law secretary.

You can demand as much as you want from anyone, but it doesn’t mean you’ll get it. A judge will decide that in court. If you pay for someone else and don’t have an iou, or other form of PROOF that’ll you’ll pay them back. You’re COMPLETELY out of luck. Oh, it’s not dine and dash if someone else pays your bill, or any other fees.

"All he had to do was pass the stupid bar [exam]" (24:38) Right! The "stupid bar"? Not for nothing, but I know a few attorneys that are good lawyers and took their bars 2-3 times. It's not an easy exam to sit in the least. Even grads with a J.D. aren't able practice law in most cases without passing the state bar. With the legal equivalent of a PHd, a doctorate degree in law, a J.D. could teach at a law school but not practice law in that state. Just saying 😉

If you do not have the money to eat out then your best bet is to cook at home and stop making others pay for your meal's if you are not going to pay them back. And telling people that your husband is a lawyer when he's not is false information that you are speading. He can sue you for it. And the law firm that he works for can help him with that.
