Hows the bluetooth connectivity in terms of interruptions? I have another pair of blue tooth ear buds and find that whenever something covers one of the ear buds the sound cuts out. Total bummer for me and usually ruins my music so i only use them in low intensive activities. Do you think you could wear these underneath a ski helmet and still have connectivity for example? I love wireless ear buds but sound cutting out regularly is a huge deal breaker for me.

He's missing a lot of features from not using the wearables app. You can make them less noise canceling by turning ambient noise on, You can even amplify ambient noise with hearing aid mode. He's missing out on The Equalizer and just a ton of other features that make the Galaxy buds so much better than what he experienced.

Adam S A Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 running Android 4.4.2 was more stable than a $20 off brand Android running 7.1. In fact if it had not suffered dying pixels from a drop I would still be using it. The iPhone 4s is even more stable than Android 7.1

I personally hate people who are in love with one brand, even though they have no clear explanation for why. And this really is a problem on both sides. Jonathan Koons but you need an S10 for this option to be available. You buy the buds for your phone, not to buy a phone to wirelessly charge your buds. It’s a nice feature but not a lot of people are going to enjoy it.

No one is talking how the galaxy buds are instable in bleutooth connection. No one is talking how those buds's microphone can't be used in Voice recorder, video recorder or instagram video recording? No one is talking how Messenger facebook app (on Android) detect 1/2 the earbuds and you need to reinit each time you use them so that application using VoIP detect your samsung Buds. No one is talking how samsung buds have this bizzare thing : sometimes the left buds detects information before the other, like you have dephaser. I never tested the Airpods so I won't compare. But those galaxy buds needs a lot of software updates and I got those problems since Day 1 and I've been using them since Tuesday 05/03/2019. The only 2 good features: sound isolation is good, sound quality is good when the buds decide to work well. Else the microphones is a pure joke. A lot of bugs so I call them "Samsung Bugs" Not worth the money.

I really wish Samsung called the Galaxy Buds the "Galaxy Buds 3" as they are very similar to the Gear IconX and the average Joe won't be confused and say "Damn, Samsung is so behind, they just came out with wireless buds" when in fact they have had them for 2-3 years now with the Gear IconX. Also I wished Samsung rebranded the Galaxy Watch to "Galaxy Watch 4" again for the same reason, so people won't get confused and say look how behind Samsung is, Apple is on their Series 4 watch meanwhile Samsung just came out with their first watch, the Galaxy Watch.

Good review from an Apple user :) I received my Galaxy Buds today with default medium sized ear tips installed and the sound felt pretty average. Then I thought why not try the large ear tips and it was it. The bass was much better, punchier as these ear tips sealed my ears pretty well. I practically couldn't hear my surroundings at 50 percent volume. I have airpods few months ago and they were good, but bass was really lacking and fitment wasn't good on my right ear.

Excellent non biased review. THANK YOU, that's a breath of fresh air in the review videos. So here's the deal,when your ear devices allow outside ambient noise, one tends to increase the volume to cancel it out, thus exposing your ears to some frequencies that are harmful to your ears at said volumes. My Audiologist taught me all about it. The more noise cancelling, the better. Also, She said always customize your sound on your device because no two ears are alike. Turning up the volume for a weaker ear, can damage the better ear. Most devices can customize your sound in the advanced sound settings menu. If I ever buy a pair, it would more than likely not be the Apple air pods, for the reasons above.

Can we talk about the biggest fail, at least to me, when comparing the Galaxy Buds to AirPods... if you pull one of the AirPods out, audio stops... cannot say the same for the Galaxy Buds. I do like what Samsung is doing here still though. I’ve always liked what they bring to the table... but, more or less, I feel Samsung’s accessories are always half baked.

Ohhhhhhhhh reaaaaaallllyyyyyy? Every review I’ve been reading, that actually mentions this, states you have to remove both for it to pause. Then, when you put them back it, it doesn’t automatically resume until you press a button. So, balls in your court fellas. Prove me wrong. Here is a quote from a review at cnet.com: “If you remove BOTH Galaxy Buds, whatever was playing will automatically pause. There's no setting or hidden button you need to enable beforehand, it's a built-in feature. However, putting the Galaxy Buds back in will not auto-resume whatever it was you were playing. You'll need to single tap on either touchpad for that to happen.”

For me atm both sound reasonable while both having advantages..but I guess it depends on preference. Lower price, reasonable audio,wireless charging, nOice cancellation..while AirPods, more charging, reasonable audio,powerful battery life and easier to open.For myself I don’t really need either I have a 2 year old 6s plus so I just use regular Apple earphones but I’d probably pick AirPods because it’s longer lasting battery because I do actually listen to music nonstop most of the time, but if I were to randomly get the Samsung buds instead there’s nothing wrong with that, I see noise canceling as the advantage for me though..the battery is the main thing that will get me..and I think it’s the Samsung buds are still a considerable price anyways..But that’s just my preference not sure if anyone else agrees though 👀

You didn't mention how the controls and the connectivity are on the Galaxy Buds. Are they connect automatically? Are they stop the music when you pull one bud of your ear and if then you put the other bud on the case, will the music continues to play from the bud on your ear? Are they have touch controls on them and if they have, do they work bellow a skull cap like earpds do?

Combine those two companies then add the money n developer geniuis of Lg, Sony, Huawei , one plus, Nokia , HTC , Motorola , ZTE, Xiiami, etc etc And apple basically taksz them ALL on by it's self ....how freaking great at making phones and OS are the Apple techies ? That they can build better or equal to product with 1/5 the total money and prob 1/10 the man power maybe even less than that ....that's impressive

I prefer the airpods because I do a lot of drive by shootings and I need to hear where random pedestrians and children are so I can know everyone was wasted and the cops aren't in the area. Thanks Apple. =)

I'm new and I'm loving the 60fps edit: Well, for the galaxy buds, you can pair them with a S10 and charge the buds wireless-ly, in my country, they give you a free 14000 Mhp battery pack so you can charge the phone, while using the powershare to charge the buds

But the Buds have a setting to turn on Ambient noise if you prefer. You do know this right? The original Galaxy Buds were called the Gear Icon X. They were fitness buds that offering workout tracking and there huge plus were you could transfer yoru own music to them as each had 4GB of storage and they link up when you wera them. They too also had very good noise cancellation and you can turn on ambient noise so you can actually hear. But they had dismal battery life due to the features and 3 hours of usage was terrible for the price. I wish the Galaxy buds had kept the storage option for yoru own music so you don't need a phone. But at last they will last a full bike ride unlike the Icon X. My rides last at least 4 hours so the Icon X was terrible for the longevity. But i could ride and hit some bumps, and have them no drop in the street. Though I did drop one in the grass, and it was hell to find do to its grey color. So having the chirp if lost is a huge benefit. As far as sound. sorry, the Buds are AKG tunes and they sound considerably better than Airpod which in fact are nearly 100% identical to the EarPod. In fact, they were tested with a very sensitive mic and the Galaxy Buds/Icon X showed superior quality with better mid-ranges and lows, while the Airpod concentrate on highs like treble. Which since MP3's don't have bass, earphones that can retrieve even the lowest bass is perfect. Its nice to see you are a bit more open. the problem with iSheep, is; you get so use to using and listening to poor quality products from apple, that you get desensitized to better stuff. That even when something is far and away better, you wail claim its only slightly better.

The weird neon yellow color is to make the ear buds look like foam ear plugs, so they blend in for some maint. yard work environments, it's not meant to be for consumer daily use

I think Applesheep gives the best reviews when a product is undeniable better than Apple's. This was probably the most thorough review I've seen (knit picking). So check this, when Apple releases their next gen earpods with noise cancelation, I think it's going to be pretty obvious that they just opted to go with a shortcut on the sound engineering on their current model. In other more scientific reviews that I've watched, and coming from people who knows more about sound quality, they said the samsung ear buds has better sound. One reviewer even said, she got an additional hour over the 6hrs claim.

Irreverent debate really? People will buy the earphones related to their phone . Iphone AirPods , galaxy galaxy buds. Your not owning an iPhone and buying galaxy buds because they may be similar and cheaper . More relevant debate , is how Samsung are starting to actually create a decent ecosystem of products that work together. ( although still very much in its infancy compared to apple )

And they are free with S10 purchase. I never understand why iPhone costing $1500 doesn't come with the Airpids free. The earbuds also come with Ambiance sound that allows you to hear others. It's in the Wearable App on the Galaxy and you can focus on voices. It uses a mic on the buds to do that.

I'd have liked to hear your perspective on how easily AirPods connect to your device vs how easily the Galaxy Buds connect, I'm not sure what it's like with the Galaxy Buds, but when I use my AirPods with only my iPhone, there is literally no connection process (when you switch devices you have to swap the output source), you just put them in your ears and listen.

Yo, like I said before do your homework on the other company's product history before making a opinion. Samsung came up with truly wireless earphones before apple airpods they were called the Icon X. Look it up, stop just throwing out false information without doing any real research!

How good is the ambient thing? Can you get that app for Apple? The ambient sound would give you the option to hear your surroundings like you said the airpods could do well. But when you turn it off it goes back to noise cancelling. More importantly I have not heard if leaving the ambient sound on will majorly effect the battery and I want to know.

they are good, however if you are planning on getting these for an iphone ill let you know i have been using them on iphone 8 for the past few days and they definitely have lag latency and no capability to change tap setting or use ambient settings without an android device

I'm totally android all the way the only apple product I have ever considered is the Air Pods. Apple are the only company making true wireless without a rubber tip I can't stress enough HATRED for rubber tipped in ear buds.

I wish you'd mention that with the app the Galaxy buds can let it ambient noise with the use of it's multiple microphones and even detect/amplify voices if you want. I think this brings them closer to office use headphones.

I dropped my AirPods in the toilet a couple weeks ago, after buying a second hand replacement case online. Whats weird is the case itself wont charge, but the Airpods will charge.... What is causing this? I presumed they charged of the same port.

Actually the battery life on both is compromised, my friend used airpods for a year and ordered the galaxy buds the day they came out and the airpods for him lasted like 4,5 hours and the charge case charged them for a 4 and a half times more (if you do the math this makes a total of 24 hours) and the galaxy buds themselves lasted 6 hours and the case charged them one more time so 12 hours...yea the airpods last 2 times longer but the battery on both is compromised...

I like the opinion, but (not trying to be that guy) I have heard that you can use an app on the Galaxy that can customize the sound and noise cancellation of the Galaxy buds. If that could be mentioned in the Galaxy S10+ review.

If you turn one galaxy pod on, is it possible to leave the other galaxy pod off, therefore doubling battery life (if you use 1 at a time)? I regularly use one side of my headphones at work because I prefer the feel of rubber earbuds but want to hear what’s going on around me as well.
