That is because any Movies or TV shows there are from the iTunes store. Its a Ad to get you buy it. So technically you don’t need to subscribe at all just buy or rent from iTunes. But yes its a bit underwhelming, at first i thought it be like a subscription to a hulu like service while getting there originals. Thats why i wouldn’t pay for it at all.

@@shinyyonovit6635 I’m not sure about paying for additional Content? You just pay the monthly subscription and you have access to all the shows if that’s what you mean. But they don’t have a lot of shows at the moment which is a little drag but besides that I love having it. I don’t have the Apple TV box I just stream it right to my TV from my phone. I never needed to buy the box hope this helps if you do keep it you should catch up with the show SEE, or if you like sci-fi The foundation is one of the best shows I have seen in years. A lot of my friends are dumb so they don’t get it but if your IQ is at least normal or above you will totally get it😂😂 I know this is conflicting with Susan Winter but that was a year ago she commented and they really didn’t have shit a year ago. Hope this helps, like I said before I never bought the Apple TV box and I have no problem streaming it from my phone to the TV

Stephen McAllister 😂 first of all Disney + is not available anywhere else but the US, second the amount of new stuff is not huge yet but more importantly the demographic base will be from the young to the very young. I have yet to see what has Disney got to offer besides superheroes and cartoons.

Just got a 2020 MBA 20 August 2020. Apple Store said I could activate the free year with my Apple ID but it shows 7 days free on the app. Tried closing and reopening the app, logging on and off with Apple ID on the Apple TV website too but same thing. Heard the rollout did not go great for some and people with new devices do not have the offer and old devices do. Some shows sound OK. Wanted to use this, not sure how to solve this problem. Same happened other days. I have MacOS fully updated. I got no push notifications and all I am seeing is a 7 day free trial.

Watched this video in hopes of learning how to access an episode of Ted Lasso that I slept through. I have a Roku TV and we purchased the Apple TV + service. When I sign it it will only let me watch the most recent episode and I don't know how to get back to previous episodes. Any help in getting to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul

Maybe my smart TV isn't smart enough, but I downloaded and subscribed for the 7-Day free trial. After almost a half hour, trying to work through the sign up (which may have been a problem with the downloader) it said I could begin watching. It showed me movies that were available but wouldn't open one I selected. I tried to get to a home screen to see what other content is availble. Couldn't get there. I quit for awhile. Went back to it. While I have a confirmation email for my subscription, I don't have the App icon on any of my devices. I am trying to cancel now because I don't want to get charged. Can't even cancel. Still working on it.

The quality of the Appletv+ content is really good but not enough of it yet. Bundles will be key or they need to go out and buy a library that will add hundreds of more titles. Disney will crush them if they don’t drive people to their service. I like the idea of adding Apple Music to the subscription but for now, not enough to get me paying for it each month. I’m hoping they have a ‘one more thing’ they haven’t announced.

I purchased new iPhones, and an iPad and we got the 1 yr free Apple TV but with all the other choices and well developed streaming services such as Prime, Netflix, you tube tv, Hulu plus, Roku, etc.. Apple TV just doesn’t have enough content to keep my attention. In fact, I transferred my HBO, Starz , Showtime, and Cinemax subscriptions to Apple TV from Prime for one month to check the quality of everything and here’s what I found. The picture quality is awesome, obviously, and sound is pretty great too. But that’s about all it has going for it because this app and device is just a big selling machine. It saves just a handful of shows, movies and the like to queue for later. The rest, you have to scroll down to where it says Apple TV channels, then skip Apple TV channel, which content sucks, and go to those channels that you’ve already paid for. From there you have to search for movies or documentaries or such without guide. If you choose for example, a movie, it will also offer you other movies with a similar theme as the one you chose. However, when you click on one of its suggestions you quickly find out the suggested movies or shows or docs. They’re all for sale. The system is rigged to show you every Damned option where you have to pay money and offers you nothing, absolutely no movie for free. Not a one. Everything comes with a price. Also, the price tag on one of these devices starts at 179.99 plus freaking taxes. And that’s just for a base model. When you get home and sinc it to your iPhone, we’ll then is when you realize it was totally not worth it.

For any of you scared of purchasing the service, it’s great. I personally have it due to the monthly free trial but 5 dollars a month seems a very reasonable price for a catalog of tv shows with some of the best minds in the business. I highly recommend it for a family. You get access to it on all your devices for 5 family members, no additional cost. It really depends, if you are not willing to spend money on few content then no, it is not for you, but if you are, it is a very recommendable service.

@@MossyMozart the Apple + service comes in several bundles, I personally don’t find Fitness+, News+ or Arcade to be worth it so I just pay ICloud, music and Tv+. No, you don’t have to pay each show individually. There is a section on the TV app dedicated to only Apple TV+ original movies and series. Whether they’re worth it to you or not depends, but personally, I think having a worthwhile series to watch each month makes the service worth having for me. If you want movies which aren’t on the service you will have to pay for them which is quite a bummer, but for $5 bucks a month, it’s really good in my opinion.

Just picked up Apple TV to extend my smart TVs life (Netflix stopped working and Disney + isn’t available)... I have no clue why the service costs $4.99.
