I purchased a Hisense U7K because of this video and your other reviews of it. I cannot overstate what a terrible TV it is with the Vidaa OS. Here’s why. 1. It can ONLY play MP4 files, and you cannot even play them for long until it stops and says (file format not supported). The Vidaa app store doesn’t have things like VLC player like you can get on Google, so any videos from my external hdd are unwatchable. 2. Gaming is automatically upscaled to 2K resolution, so you immediately start suffering from input lag on your controller (at least on my RTX3070). 3. The colour schemes differ slightly from the USA version, as “Cinema Night” and “Theatre Night” are not the same preset, and all the presets result in a blurry video with Jeremy Clarkson’s Range Rover as Green rather than Dark Grey. Then I tweaked it a bit, got the car to be blue, everything but the actual grey. His raspberries are purple and black on all presets and not red and black like in real life. I wouldn’t recommend this TV to anyone. Turns out everything I listed are known issues on the Vidaa versions.

I have an interesting topic. Televisions that can do dark room expenses without black crush, blooming or rainbow effect. You have never ever did this topic. Some people like me like watching in a darkend room, high brightness isn't important. So what tvs do the best.

Awesome content! I bought the sennheiser m4s but the volume was so low id have to crank it to max to feel satisfied, not sure why. I ended up exchanging for the sony xm5s and they are amazing, loud volume and noise cancellation is awesome! The only thing it lacks is the sound quality of the sennheiser m4, imo. Now I kind of want a set of headphones that has the best audio quality. Any suggestions? Thanks

I dropped cable because of the price. Right now I pay $140 for my Internet and KZbin TV. And that’s all I’ve got where is before cable was well over $200 and then I had Internet on top of that. Do I like commercials no but there are a lot less of them now that I am on streaming.

I've been a Sony fan through and through since getting into TVs 5+ years ago. I just bought both the 77" Sony A95L and 77" Samsung S95C to figure out which one I like better. To me, the Samsung looks cleaner, and the Sony has what looks to me like screen door effect and looks kind of blocky, it's DRIVING ME NUTS!!! I REALLY want to like the Sony better, price is no object. I don't think my picture settings are the problem. Please help me figure out what's going on. Because in EVERY video the Sony A95L looks significantly better than the Samsung S95C.

How does it compare to Bravia 9 in terms of color brightness and upscaling? How does it compare to A95L?

Hello Caleb. Last year I bought 77 S95C and was not happy with it for its upscaling low bandwidth content, and exposure in a well lit room. I returned it and continued to use my old tv. I am now in a need of 75-85 inch tv and am considering S95d, A95l, and Bravia 9. My primary requirements are color brightness and upscaling. I could also go for 8k (upscaling is good I hear) if the color brightness was improved on 2024 models. What do you suggest?

You definitely buried the lede … no not really, just kidding. The "ads are not forcefed" news is probably not the most TECHNICAL juicy tidbit here, but certainly probably the most important to most consumers (living squarely in that bell curve hump). Well done drilling down on that. And a hearty "well done!" to LG for LISTENING to complaints and taking them seriously. Now if only they'd roll the 2023 fix to ASBL(TPC) to 2021 owners…! (Also kudos, Caleb, for the shoutouts to Classy Tech. The dude works very hard for the details he uncovers.)

In the past i chose for size. After I bought a samsung 51" 3d plasma and my brother bought a panasonic 3d full hd and I saw the difference in 2011, never again. After meeting oled even more. Tcl c845 75" is almost the price of a 55" oled here in Brazil and I still prefer oled and its picture.

Comparing any Hisense to LG and Samsung is ridicilous. I have store and sell tv's, the price of Hisense it's not much cheaper. Very pronounced red/pink color, they can't last long, lot's of them are going to service before varaty expired, even couple of times.

ABL on our LG C3 was going crazy with Hockey, UNTIL we changed the settings on our Roku. The constant dimming issues disappeared immediately and the picture has been perfect since. Leaving it set on the lowest setting of 4k, instead of hdr 4k extra super deluxe 😂, solved everything. Just an fyi. 👍🤪🏳️‍🌈

Hi Caleb, thank you so much for this video. I really like your videos and reviews, but the problem is that I am from Europe and the same TV is different in Europe and in the US. Is this also the case with the Hisense TV?

Hello Caleb, I have a question. Im in the Military and as such I move every few years or so. I’ve put together a fairly mobile home theater setup. However I’m searching for the best soundbar or sound system solution that can provide the best sound in a variety of rooms since Ill be moving so much. I had my eyes on the polk magnifi max ax which can be purchased refurbished for about $400. My question is do you believe it would be better to go with the new klipsch flexus since it’s brand new and supposedly pretty good? Do you have any recommendations for my situation?

A couple of other reviews indicate that the 55” has a lower spec and posterization issues whereas the 65” does not. Perhaps you could comment when you do final review. I do like your reviews and presentation

Here is an angle for you. Blind people are using the camera and AI functionality to provide some feedback about the environment and get information about what clothes there are and what colouring are in the cupboards. Maybe it could be an angle around "Accessibility" that the smart glasses are providing as vision "substitution" strategies. The AI can be used to recognised the environment at a distance but it can also read information such as bus time tables by scanning the board and then asking what time is the next bus and the bus number et cetera et cetera. Perhaps this is out of your wheelhouse in itself but if you know someone who is blind or has low vision or maybe approach your local Society, for the Blind you could have an episode experimenting with this idea. I would think it takes a little adjustment because the AI is not quite as good as the Google or ChatGPT language models and the descriptions are not quite as details. Just some experimentation of what voice command can be given to Step it through what is an image. I have noticed myself though that there are some visual hallucinations where it describes things that are not actually there or gives me generic answer unless you say something like "what closing can you see "rather than "look and tell me what you see". One describes the closing and the other just says "casual clothing". Of course, sighted people use the product recognition to find more information about the product information including general instructions et cetera. Anyway, just a thought to extend your thinking around its wider applications.

I am still surprised that smart guys like this are so scared of Facebook and they don't have a problem of giving all the information , pictures, searches, etc to Amazon, Apple or google, or worse, tik tok Do these people think those companies do something different than Facebook with their data? Do you really think that apple, a company that has been sued multiple times for privacy issues is better than Facebook or google in this regard? I can't stand these "smart people" who are not ashamed of saying Facebook bad, Amazon good.
