I have 2 possible explanations for this: The Apple Vision was possessed by some spirit and afected every person that was seen with it. That's why the mother was the only one affected. I have a theory on what happened to the mom at the end of the video and you are free to say what you think about my theory. Anyway since the Apple Vision Pro was shown glitching red.1:55 I'm guessing there was some sort of entity or spirit trapped within the Apple Vision Pro and it couldn't escape without possessing a new body. Since it couldn't possess the body of someone alive it needed the body of someone dead....So the Entity or Spirit manipulated the Apple Vision Pro to mess with boys mind which leads to the boy unintentionally killing his mother and while the boy still has the Apple Vision Pro on his face then the entity or spirit quickly possessed the mom's body. Now the entity is free to do what they want and the first thing they want to do is get rid of the boy but hey this is my theory or at least how I interpret the story. Your theory makes sense!! But if we take the story from a “realistic” perspective, I see that everything that happened was because of Apple Glasses. The child killed his mother and somehow cut off his legs, and even the shot of the mother stomping his face on the ground is from the child’s imagination, simply because of his use of the glasses for a long time, real life mixed with Virtual life

My theory is that the mom was real earlier when he was asked to do his homework but was later killed during dinner time. I think the apple vision pro actually helped him see the true form of the monster pretending to be his mom to gain his trust even tho vr glasses are supposed to show fake stuff.
