Apple Watch Series 10 - Is It ACTUALLY Worth Upgrading?

Apple is definitely taking a long time with this. Either they settle things with masimo or they make their own design for an oxygen sensor. But I feel like with how stubborn apple is it’ll be awhile

I mean, yeah. I don’t know why they didn’t give it a longer life battery instead of making it thinner, but.. I like that it’s thinner. The band sit more naturally close to my wrist now. While I’m sure it wasn’t worth upgrading from the series 9, it was definitely worth upgrading from my SE. I love the S10. For me, it noticeably has a larger screen.

Completely understandable. I haven’t had a chance to go see the watch in person yet. I really wanted to upgrade to it but my 2 year old Ultra 1 still has better battery and a similar size screen I think.

Series 11 or 12 will get will get (a) stacked battery technology, and (b) 3nm SIP for far more efficiency than the current 5nm SIP. If you were expecting them to do all that in one refresh, you haven't been watching the pattern going all the way back to the very first refresh. They overhaul everything every three years, and they lead with the form factor redesign, so that's all you get this year. If you have a Series 7, 8, or 9, just wait for the upgrade to get more compelling. I'll be enjoying my titanium Series 7 for one or two more years. You are sure right that they are overly-segmenting their consumers in order to squeeze more money out of the same ideas.

How is the battery on your series 7? I was wanting to get my wife a series 8 refurbished but I’m mostly worried about the battery being completely shot in 6 months of use

@@ShotOnmyPhone It's still plenty good for me, but I am not usually an all-day wearer. I always have it on when I teach classes or go to meetings. I only sometimes wear it all day. I never wear it at night. A lot of time I just put it back on its charger and give it a rest because I don't like anything on my wrist when I am at my desk typing for several hours. So you have made a very good point that I can use my Series 7 titanium for another year or two because I don't deep cycle its battery very often.

Oh ok that makes sense. She wants it mostly for sleep tracking and will wear it at work. So it’s battery probably won’t be best for a power hser
