I really wanted to get the Ultra 2 for my birthday because I have a problem with always wanting to spend money on the most expensive stuff. My wife surprised me with the Series 9 instead, 45 mm, and I am so glad she did. This thing is awesome.

I'm late to the smartwatch scene. But I am heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem. My girlfriend got me the Apple watch series 8 45mm last year for my birthday and I Love it! so much in fact I was thinking about upgrading to the ultra as I enjoy all the other pro products. But.. pfftt 800 dollars is a big ask for better battery life and a more premium look. It's hard to justify when it's nearly the same. I can nearly upgrade and buy an iphone for that money. If they had priced it at around the 600-650 dollar price mark I think it's worth it at that. A little too steep for me at that for the very few improvements. Thanks for the video!

I got the ultra at launch and it’s been hands down the best Apple product I’ve purchased in a while. 2 years and the battery is still great, I’ve never had it die on me and I’ve ran a couple marathons with it. And it still doesn’t have many scratches on it. I don’t think the regular Apple Watch I had before it compares to it at all if you’re a runner. I don’t think I’m upgrading unless there’s AI stuff built into the next one.

Do what I did and buy the ultra 2 used as can get it much cheaper and if you shop around get one still in warranty, longer battery life is a winner and can turn off lots of non essential things to get even more battery life, though 49mm would be to big but love the bigger screen 🥳🥳 Also looking forward to the newer software for both watch and phone later this year 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
