Apple Watch Ultra 2 vs. Series 9: Not Just for Athletes - the Ultra's Five Everyday Benefits

Everybody keeps harping about how expensive the Ultra/2 are. The Stainless Steel is only slightly less than the Ultra but has fewer features and less capability. Keep in mind there are watches that cost tons more and just tell time…Rolex anyone? Yes, they are premium watches and are good for what they are and they make the Ultra/2 look cheap in comparison. So, have some perspective. My Ultra2 is the last Apple Watch I intend to buy for a very long time. The battery can be more easily changed which means having it around for a long time. It is my 2nd iPhone and with 64GB of storage, my iPod as well along with all the other features. Of course, it also tells time.😊

Saving 1$ daily for 2.2 years it’s the price of the Ultra… 1$ for a ton of utility is less than a coffee a day… And it can be used for 3-5 years without even thinking about battery issues…

The watch face? It's called "Modular Ultra"

One major difference is that my ultra watch 2 battery lasts 2 + days on one charge Another major difference is that it is easier to see everything on the screen and it is tougher not easily breakable. . It is easier to type on the keyboard. And the brightness is awesome.

Just moved from the Series 5 to the Ultra 2. Did not feel any ‘weight difference’ wearing it, at all! Although… this may have something to do with using a Milanese loop on the S5. To be honest, what I wanted was the sapphire crystal screen and since one is forced to get S9 with Cellular on the Stainless steel (in the past it was possible to opt for stainless steel without cellular, yes?) - I decided to pony up a bit more for the Ultra 2. VERY happy with it 24 hours in. 😄

As far as I know, cellular was always required with the stainless steel models. But the sapphire glass is a big deal! Huge difference.

Thank you. This was exactly the video I was looking for. My previous Apple Watch was a Series 7 in Black Stainless Steel, and I was looking for some justification to upgrade to an Ultra instead of a regular Series 9. I think I can make do with one less day of charge with a smaller and more comfortable form factor of a Graphite Series 9, especially since for me the biggest use case of an Apple Watch is to track sleep cycle and wake up alarm on my wrist.

I ended up ditching my Ultra 2 and going back to a regular AW. I love the AWU durability and battery life but the biggest issue I had was the size. Unless I really wrenched it down to the point of being uncomfortable, its added weight caused it to flop around (especially while running). But I do miss the 3-4 days of battery life.

I think if apple didn’t keep the ultra series I wouldn’t have brought it. I just love big watches thanks apple I think ermmm 1 out of the many users who uses LTE yes I’m on a monthly plan I’m okay with it my cellular provider includes it specially when the new series of iPhone released ✅👍 But cause I’m fitness nerd I like to know my body stats that’s where my garmin enduro 2 just absolutely nails on everything I want 🙌 My DD left hand enduro 2 Right hand AWU 2 😎
