If I were in your situation I would've done the exact same thing and just waited a couple of days to just realize that I'll be keeping the Ultra Watch and that was already decided when I opened it. Tech devices and gadget are so addicting sometimes. And your enthusiasm about them is what makes the videos!

No problem, it's always worth saying something good. The flat sapphire glass makes that thing already plenty sturdy, but I see why you want to protect the investment. Also not working in automotive anymore helps keeping it safe, right? Hahaha

Got my ultra 2 back in march it has been fantastic you need to keep the ultra 2 it’s just far better that black is sweet!!!! The watch os 11 update was rough thank god they fixed it a few days ago now my ultra 2 battery life is back !!!!

What’s the biggest reason to get the Ultra? Day to day, I feel the 42mm is perfect, but could be better in many ways. Is the battery a good enough reason to upgrade?

I agree with you, if the Ultra 3 came out then I would have upgraded from the Ultra 1, but the upgrades to the Series 10 only brought it up to parity with the Ultra. The Ultra 2 is still a far better watch than the Series 10 even if it says 2 on the back instead of 3. The S10 SIP is exactly the same as the S9 SIP except for the display controller for the new low power OLED in the Series 10. That is the only thing that the Series 10 has that the Ultra doesn't have and honestly I don't care about a second hand on my AOD so it's no deal for me anyway. I don't even use any watch faces that have second hands. The Ultra 2 has longer battery life, more accurate GPS, more durable and rugged design, Sapphire lens (which you can get on the titanium Series 10 but then you are paying almost the price of the Ultra so it's a no brainer to get it), siren, action button etc etc. It's just a better watch. The only reason in my mind to get a Series 10 is to save some money but then you only get a glass display which is likely to scratch (I have scratched every apple watch screen I have owned EXCEPT the Ultra 1 that I am still rocking and still looks like new after almost 2 years). So yeah, if you want the best, get the Ultra. If you wanna save some coin, get the Series 10 aluminium but put a screen protector on it if you do any outside sports.

@@The.JZA. I’ve already decided I’m keeping the ultra 2. I might still get the ultra 3 next year since I’m already a year behind (in tech, like cpu and stuff) and then rock the 3 until it’s end of life. Unless they go another year without the three or it’s just not worth it.

I just collected the AWU2 black this morning after placing an order the night before. It’s matte black color is so clutch and paired it with Nomad titanium black band, it looks like a ‘Batman’ watch 😂

Hey Dusan!! it's just a ring that I got my from my automotive days. When I was in the army, I was a diesel mechanic. So we couldn't wear rings. then I spent several years in the automotive field as a civilian and rings weren't allowed unless they were break away rings. Like rubber that could break away. I don't have a real ring! lol

I've had the OG ultra since launch, there's really been no reason to upgrade it. I probably won't unless apple finally releases blood pressure capability. If I were in your shoes I'd stick with the Ultra it will last you for many years.

the series 10 is the same as the nine and 8 your not missing out on much the ultra battery is enough to return the series 10. you basically destroyed your s5 doing work on your car and at work the ultra is the go s10 is more for dressy compared.

Things have changed dramatically since the s5. I mean, they have apps that tell you how far under water you are now. I guarantee the ultra would not have cared if oil got on it. Obviously I’ll choose to NOT wear my watch during my next oil change though.

It’s more of a psychological one because if Apple decided to release an Ultra 3 next year.. all of a sudden you’re feeling crappy. In which case having the series 10 would seem ideal. But the Ultra 2 is just sooo much better than series 10 in my opinion. Battery life, Home Screen, extra action button…

A very important question that could confirm my choice of this watch: if I wear my Oura Ring for sleep, can the data linked to the Health app be combined with the data I get from my Apple Watch Ultra?
