I remember Twisted now, that was a fascinating episode.

They look like they had genuine love for each other - and it's great to see Jeri Ryan and Kate Mulgrew getting along.

why did they not normally?

@@PC-vg8vn Jennifer Lien was fired so the studio could afford to hire Jeri which caused a lot of heartbreak and tension among the cast. Especially since it sme without warning and the producers didn't talk to the cast. Kate threw a farewell party for Lien who developed mental health issues afterwards. For a while, Voyager became the "Seven of Nine" show. Kate hated that Seven was wearing such revealing clothes and felt it was deeming to women and the show and said that if the show needed sexuality, why wasn't Janeway given a love life. And she apparently found it irksome that Jeri was given so much promotion by the studio and that she was invited to so many talk shows. Kate pretty much hated the Seven character but she chose to take it out on Jeri and was emotionally abusive. it wasn't until Jeri started dating the boss that she stopped bullying Jeri. Kate said she regretted the way she treated her.

@@gabelogan5877 Thanks, yes Ive found out that there was bad blood between them, seemingly bad behaviour on Mulgrew's part. Regardless of another actor being fired, there's no excuse for treating the newcomer badly.
@gabelogan58772 жыл бұрын
@@PC-vg8vn It looks like they patched things up. And like said Kate expressed remorse for her behavior. They seem very warm and friendly towards one another. but you never know. they're both actresses. They had such tremendous chemistry onscreen, you'd never know they were at odds. Which is regretful considering Jeri almost had an emotional breakdown the first year as she was a new mother, frequently sick, worked long hours, and was overworked

@@gabelogan5877 -Thje should invite Jennifer Ien to thse Voyager Conventoins. She did play Kes for 3 Season and I think 2 episodes. I would have liked it if they kept the Kes acharacter and Seven of Nine. Kes could have became boht 7 of 9's friend and Mentor.

The low budget was an important part of the charm to the show. It's something the newer big budget movies and shows are missing.

Twisted is my favorite episode! I love seeing them confused and wandering around. And then when Paris remarks, "I don't suppose anyone knows the way to the bridge?", before anyone has even fully realized the ship has been reconfigured, I totally lose it! Do you remember what the question was directly preceding this?

I don’t (this was back in early 2020, a week before the world shut down, and this is the start of where I hit “record”), but I’d guess it was about a least favorite episode - the cast has talked repeatedly about Twisted being one that none of them (possibly including the director) got or understood the story they were telling. They also had to go back and add *eight minutes* to the episode later, it ran so short, so five scenes and various added dialog were added after the initial filming. Literally 19% of the episode runtime was added later. 😳 So some of the nicer character exchanges were probably not part of the actors’ experience filming that week, given so much was added and filmed later. I agree - it isn’t a *favorite* of mine, but absolutely middle of the road for me, and not remotely in my bottom of season two rankings! But I’d imagine for the actors, shooting a bad or boring script beats shooting one you can’t figure out? It certainly worked out fine as an end product!

Thank you so much for sharing these clips, it must have been great to see the cast reunited, sharing these fantastic stories. PLEASE say you will upload the whole panel in one video. LLAP!

Sorry - I sat close because it was the panel I was most excited about, and my seat wasn’t conducive to keeping the video running throughout - I both had an obstructed view and was trying to stay low and not obstruct the view of anyone behind me. So I only recorded snippets of this one. While I wish I had the whole thing for myself, too, I also didn’t want to be distracted by recording it instead of just enjoying being there.

Not that I know of - just the four clips from me. If you find it, or more, please paste the link into the comments here! I was there and would love to see it again. I was just close, because it was the panel I was most excited about, and it wasn’t conducive to filming the whole thing while enjoying it and not blocking anyone else’s view.
