That whole "You tell me; it's your book" thing sends a clear message about Neighsay here in my opinion. He legitimately has no idea how friendship could possibly be used against Equestria; he just sees it as something the ponies have that makes them better than other creatures for some reason and has convinced himself that sharing it with other creatures will destroy Equestria as a way to justify his own bigotry, even if he actually doesn't believe it or know how it could be possible. It really drives home how irrational such behavior is when even the guy doing it doesn't really understand what he is saying.

I don't think that's quite it.I mean..if we see it from his point of view,they always defeat enemies with friendship in form of powerful magic.So to Neighsay it might look like Twilight is teaching friendship to the students as a way to defend themselves.(he even confirmed that when the school was founded) So if we exchange the word friendship with powerful magic when he talks about it,what he says suddenly makes more sense. Other creatures have always been a threat to Equestria,now Twilight found 'a weapon' against all evil in the form of powerful magic (friendship) which she offers to teach to other ponies and he's like "yea well..great that we have a way to defend ourselves but you can't teach that to other creatures,they will try to use what they learned against us sooner or later". Again,in his believe she is teaching powerful magic that has never failed to work to the creatures he believes are still enemies(at least some). Personally I believe he may have even had some sort of trauma himself because he refuses to see that some creatures are actually nice,especially the kids that still grow and have to find their own opinion on the world. That's why I think he isn't actually that bad,he just misunderstood a lot and is possibly blinded by a past trauma and overall just wants the best for Equestria and the ponies living in it.

As idiotic and unreasonable as it looks from the outside, it's actually not that uncommon. When your worldview is challenged, it's easy to come up with all kinds of excuses to support what you've already convinced yourself of. It's much harder to accept new evidence that completely shatters your worldview. I think probably the best real life example of this is Flat-Earthers. Though FE are the extreme, that doesn't mean others aren't also plagued by a degree of the same closed mindedness. Neighsay is one such pony. Stuck in his belief that ponies are inherently superior to other creatures, and that all other creatures have nothing but ill will. He's able to come up with all kinds of ludicrous theories to support his worldview despite plenty of evidence to the contrary.

It kinder irritates me how little power twilight (alone) had. I mean, sure, there's politicians running around in the form of Chancellor Neighsay, but still, she is a pony princess. Has she no power? Sometimes when I think about it, it kinda makes sense that it was just My Little Pony the Movie instead of including Friendship Is Magic. Shortly after it started, Celestia told Twilight, "you are the Princess of Friendship. You already have all the magic you need." Then later on when the mane 6 return to dry land from Seaquestria, "I would never have done it (trying to take the pearl), but this isn't Equestria. We can't just dance around with con artists, make rainbooms in the sky and expect everything to work out. It's not enough. We are not enough." Uh, yes you can apparently do exactly that. Everything was workin out. Then later on after getting captured by Tempest, "friendship didn't fail me. I failed friendship." I actually does make sense, if you think about it, that it wasn't called My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic the Movie. Throughout most of it, the Princess of Friendship wasn't really trusting friendship. Not even the other 5 who'd been friends with her from the start.

It might be basted on what the princesses are in charge of ...... celestia is the princess of equestria with means she is in charge of equestria and she can do as she pleases. Princess cadence is the princess of the crystal empire so she is in charge of her own kingdom. Luna and is the princess of the night so she might have the same authority as celestia. Twilight is the princess of friendship so she is in charge of ponies friendships.....which means she I dont think she can do what she wants not to mention she'll be the next princess of equestria so I guess she's still a citizen even though shes a princess. So I guess twilight's authority is only on friendships so she cant just order ponies around I think

That's just a writing flaw. Twilight is too personable of a character to really work as high-authority so they pretty much just ignore it. It still works for the show though and it's not a big disappointment or anything.

Honestly while watching this, considering this is before Chancellor Neighsay sees the error of his ways by the season 8 finale, it's easy to see how hated an antagonist character can be when they have prejudice, because of how in this day and age, people are easily offended by the slightest hint of prejudice. Not saying prejudice is okay, but many people tend to really get paranoid whenever something or someone is alleged to be racist or prejudiced when in fact the alleged offender did nothing of the sort.

I can actually think how teaching sowing could be useful. Rarity teaches generosity.?Keeping in mind what she said about being generous with all kinds of things-such as advice or even just your time-I’d say it’s easier to be generous when you actually have something to offer.
