Keep up the good vids , some of us don't have the experience and would have a steep learning curve but people like yourself turn the steep learning curve into a flat curve ,where we can get on with the creation ,instead of spending hours trying to work out how a subtract or weld isn't working

Thanks for this video I’m working on a GRAD card. Same concept except with letters. I can see I need to add the small rectangle to help the card stand Thanks again.

You're welcome, either add a rectangle or place a thin rectangle over the bottom of your shape and use subtract to cut a flat section away and it may stand up without having to have the platform. i do that sometimes if i just want a specific shape but i know it may not stand because of a round bottom etc thank you

Hi it was on my website and blog banner for years, when my Mac died early this year I lost a lot of photos, I thin the number 7 is one of them that’s why I’ve also updated by banner with new pictures which also show off more recent projects made using my SDX, its probably on the internet somewhere maybe

All going well but when I get in on to my machine I get " no pattern on the effective area" No idea what I am doing wrong! :-(

sounds like maybe you are trying to cut but the design is set to draw, or visa versa other than that no idea without seeing the file

@@applelover53 thank you so much for responding. My machine is only a week old and I had set the size of the mat to the wrong size so think I have cracked it now. Oh ok yes that can happen but i didn't think of it, just make sure its on 12x12 as standard and then adjust to 12x24 if needed
