Jerry Cantrell deserves a lot more attention than he gets. Talk about a musical genius.

So much love for Jerry. Hearing him talk about the early days of meeting Layne and Mike and knowing how it all went, it must have been hard but I'm so glad they're still going. That most recent album is really good

Unplugged is so beautiful. I had assumed the band was over before that hit so let me tell you as a huge Alice fan it was like 10 Christmas' at once. Legendary performance of a band falling apart.

Matheus Kelson time to finally quit drumming then... 😅
@matheuskelson6 жыл бұрын
I don´t know why people like to hate his drumming so much. He´s not an extremely technical drummer, but his drumming, for most of what Metallica has produced, has if anything only added creativity and personality to their music. Metallica wouldnt have been the same without him, that´s for sure.

@rodneylee40266 жыл бұрын
Surprising? Why? He's an intelligent person and a great drummer for Metallica. He used to do all the interviews for the band. He's also responsible for creating drum accents fills and beats that make the guitar riffs stand out as well as they do in Metallica. Lars bashing is fake news for sheeple.

Damn. I saw this amazing interview and then watched the unplugged again. It did bring tears to my eyes when I got to "Down In A Hole". Hearing what it felt like to Jerry, surrounded by friends and on the verge of losing his friend and band, makes that concert much more special. I will never watch it again the same way I used to. It's impossible not to love Jerry and Alice In Chains. Damn I love this band to my bones!

I had that unplugged performance on cassette tape when I was 12 years old. Even at a very young age, I knew that was something different. Real songs, stripped down to their core, performed by guys that were actually living what they were playing. Extraordinary moments in time. Thankyou Alice in Chains.

The main reason why I like AIC was becuase of the diversity (Sap/Jar of Flies) of their music. I feel like it validated them as special musicians.

DEFINITELY one of the best EPs ever recorded... and I agree with the gentleman who said the AIC unplugged is the greatest ever recorded. Hands down. I love Nirvana as well and everything, but Nirvana's sounds too produced and poppy, yours was the rawest of the raw and so beautiful man no one can sing like Layne sung. No one. long live AIC and rip Layne

Think about it, out of the ashes, if Jerry had not dealt with losing his home, losing his mother/grandmother, his life would not have gone the way it has.
