This, is her realest interview to date. She’s always quite private, I feel like this sit down allowed her to be honest, self aware, and comfortable. Watching her journey since the beginning has been remarkable. It’s only UP from here.

What a difference. Miss TS can't stand criticism and uses it for personal revenge and "karma". An immature and childish reaction. Dua says she doesn't take criticism as revenge. She listens, improves and proves with her work the opposite. A mature, healthy, positive and chill attitude. The maturity of someone of 28 and someone of 34. Dua's attitude is the best example for youngs not the attitude of the other singer that thousands of her little fans are sadly learning.

Seeing Dua getting emotional while talking about her music, her growth, the process and her maturity really touched me. Not only as a fan, but also in a personal way, I feel that I've also grown up with her and her songs, which were always there for me, always accompanied me during the journey, to cheer me up, but also made me feel a lot stronger and confident. I'm so proud of her and I really can't wait to hear the album... It feels like I'm about to receive a birthday present, even though it's not my birthday. Thank you so much, Dua. I really can't wait to see you (again), in Lisbon, this summer. ♥

I think that the general public has a huge misconception towards Dua Lipa. People believe she's one of those artists crafted by a record company. that she has no creative control or intelligence to write a song. This woman is a fukcing genius and we need to make sure the GP takes her more seriously because she REALLY DOES her music. SHE IS AWARE of the creative process and SHE REALLY MAKES decisions about her music. Go DUA!! can't wait for RADICAL OPTIMISM AT NIGHT !

Also the attitude to online activity is healthy - showing the younger generation there is life beyond social media. That she writes her lyrics long hand in a notebook and does so many diverse things such as Service 95. 💖💖💖

That's not what Zane really does, and it's usually saved for after a release. By later summer we can probably expect a lot of behind the scenes footage, commentary, and extensive interviews with everyone involved particularly Dua and Kevin. TBH after listening to so many interviews with Dua, I'm really looking forward to hearing from Kevin.

I think they mean “production” in the technical sense (instrumentation, sampling, mastering, technique, etc) Which yeah is not discussed much here , certainly not in the first 20min
@JeiElRai
@JeiElRai 6 ай бұрын
@@alechemy @alechemy if we look at album rollouts in general recently, we can see that artists, labels and press are taking fuller advantage of the potential of KZbin and such to scratch the itch that an increasing audience has had for said technical stuff... But indeed it's not usually until after the project is fully, or at least mostly, rolled out. Presumably this is because the general public may have limited interest in all that, so it doesn't serve well to generate hype leading up to the release. Rather after the project is released, those who are into all this stuff will get increasingly curious about it just in time for some content on it. See how Rolling Stone (or was it Variety? I don't really remember or care much lol) released a deep dive with Dua and Mark in studio, on the making of Dance the Night. Regardless of when they may have shot the piece, they released it specifically after some time, when the song and movie had generated a lot of buzz so that the video could maximize engagement. With these niche sort of things, the whole music industry is aware we dig this stuff and we can consistently look forward to all kinds of insight coming from midsummer through the end of the year. Undoubtedly music press around the world will be knocking down Kevin's door for commentary. Hopefully we'll hear everyone's perspective! I'd love to see some fuller discussion with him and Dua just like they did with Mark previously, on at least a few tracks from the LP. We can be confident we'll get at least some mix of BTS footage and exclusive interviews in the coming months.
@Itzzy515
@Itzzy515 6 ай бұрын
@@alechemyDua is not in charge of the production, only of the lyrics and some ideas. You need find the producer to talk about the technical aspects, musicianship and instrumentation. In this case Kevin Parker and Danny L Harle the producers of this album. Like Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff, Ariana Grande and Max Martin, Biilie Ellish and her brother. Remember the majority of pop divas aren't musicians only songwriters and colaborate with ideas nothing more. Their main focus is the image and their voices to sell. In the background are the producers who are musicians and are in charge of the technical aspect. I'm sure that Dua dk about the samplers, intruments, software, etc, etc that was used in this album production only Kevin and Danny so the interview is focus in her thoughts about the album, ideas for songs and specially her like the image of a pop diva to sell. Maybe in the future Kevin could give a interview talking about his production in this album like Finneas does with Billie's albums.

Dua is a tiger on stage and so reflective and pensive in interviews. She does seem rather real in this interview, especially by the way she wasn’t pronouncing her “T”s and other nuances. She gives off the feeling of being secure in what she’s achieved thus far, and is not full of herself, almost as if she knows coming up with hit after hit may not last forever, so rather than dwell on when that day may come, it’s far better to be Radically Optimistic. She says doing this for a living has helped her mature early. I also get a sense that she’s incredibly well grounded, that her parents instilled in her that getting to the top, and staying there, is hard work. Several times she uses words like “in this job”, or “what I do for a living”, rather than ‘profession’, which says a lot about her perspective and work ethic. It’s also worth mentioning, that all the extremely capable people I know, all use a notebook, rather than their phone, to organize their day and thoughts. Another important thing she said is that you need to write bad music before your good music comes out. Many people say that is the path to success. I wrote this at the 15 min mark, and later she talked about her parents.

She speaks about Radical Optimism being about emotional maturity and finding the positive in anything no matter what is going on. But I think this is quite a short sighted and privileged understanding of life's challenges. I agree with her, that emotional maturity may improve the way in which you deal with a break up, changes in friendship groups, or overcoming challenges in life. But this idea of finding the positive in everything and "everything is meant to be" ignores the deeper, darker more challenging aspects of pain, grief and sorrow. Can you find the positive in losing a parent, sibling or child unexpectedly? Can you find the optimism in a childs terminal cancer diagnosis, or witnessing someone you love go through unbearable suffering. This level of pain cannot be met with a search for the positive or optimism, but rather an acknowledgement and eventual acceptance of the pain and heartache inherit in being alive. I find it hard to connect with people talking about overcoming pain and sorrow by finding the positive in everything, when sometimes it feels that they don't know the depths of pain people can experience, and a more so attempting to run away from the more difficult truths we may one day all face. God bless x

I love Zane he is such a good interviewer. Billie's interview for the live-event of her documentary 'Billie Eilish: The World's a little blurry' was the first video of him I've ever watched, and oh boy, I was hooked. He Always brings the best out of his interviewees while remaining an outstanding listener. He gives the whole flow, yet let the artists remain in total control therefore creating a safe place for exchange based on mutual trust. Dua wasn't the popstar here, just Dua, the artist, the human being. What an interview. Congrats to both and their teams. 👏 🙌 👏
