Tyler has three things I love. 1. He has a clue, meaning that he has his priorities right, how he goes about his music, everything. 2. he writes a narrative with his songs, his records. It’s been fun to follow Blurryface and Trench, but even vessel and Self Titled have their own little theme and story. 3. he has Pokémon figurines all over his home recording studio and didn’t bother to adjust them when doing a professional interview. That shows him being a real man right there.

That's what distinguishes the moneygrabber mainstream "artist" from a real artist. Having the depth of mind, the capability for reflection, the ability to confront your inner demons, calling them out and seeing them for what they are, the empathy to see yourself in relation to others and caring about what happens to them, the drive to break down a seemingly simple thing to its core and make others see better and finally the talent to tell these findings in an artistic way, creating a beautiful piece while making the world a better place. Put all of that into one person and you have Tyler Joseph. Thanks for existing man, it's been a blast and I can't wait for what's coming next.

This is the most honest and genuine interview that I have ever seen. People always wonder why I feel so strongly and support this band with the intensity that I do. Tyler is such a strong advocate for mental health and actually talking about it. It's a conversation that we need to be having. He uses his music as an outlet and he encourages others to find their own meanings in the music. I look up to both Tyler and Josh because despite everything they both have remained so strong throughout all of life's challenges and they have created this amazing thing that I'm so proud to be a part of. I can't wait to hear the whole album. ||-//

not gonna lie, i’m going to be so sad when tyler stops creating. i think my heart will shatter. or maybe it’ll be like the end of a really good tv series with a satisfying ending. i hope so. also, tyler mentioned being good at compartmentalizing. i am not. but tøp’s music has helped me do so. maybe not completely. but i know they’ve stopped so many awful thoughts from intersecting so many times. they helped me create a room where i can freely feel without having to feel like it’s wrong to do so. i love you tyler and josh. & thanks for this interview. i’m glad we can all connect with tyler once again.

i don't think you have much to worry about. i think TOP might have a certain shelf life; i hope not, but they might. But it seems to me that Tyler is evolving musically, rather than peaking at the height of his popularity. He is inspired by the act of creation itself, not by the pursuit of success (at least not anymore), and this inspiration seems very pure and enduring to me. Even if TOP were to end, I don't see Tyler ever stopping this evolution or the process of creation, I just hope he continues to release his music publicly even if the project is under a different name, or under no name

I was telling my dad about TØP's new music vids and about the story behind Blurryface, and his words were, "Wouldn't it be interesting if we found out that the fans began writing the story instead of the group? What if TØP started the idea, but as time went on, they secretly started getting ideas from fans and incorporating them into the storyline?" Then I heard 9:52 and was shocked at what I heard.

Watching this, all I can think is: Tyler Joseph has changed the world. He has made music that has brought so many people hope in dark times. He has made the world aware of what so many of us face. When writing music, it's truly from inside himself and he doesnt care about doing what anyone else thinks he should. I know so many people who truly benefit from his work. We are so grateful for that. Thank you, Tyler, and thank you for this interview, Zane.

I've heard so many artists say "we wouldn't be here if it weren't for our fans," But how Tyler phrases it and the sincerity behind it really just makes me cry... This music literally helped me through so much, and still does when I get anxiety attacks or anything. If I feel discouraged, I listen to a tøp song. The music saved my life. I can't even explain it. I feel so connected with the music, and the feelings and emotion behind it. Hearing Tyler say that he watches the fans and hearing him tell us that we helped in a way towards Trench... It hits me so hard. I love twenty øne piløts, and I always will. Tyler and Josh's presence in the world of music truly is a blessing, and I don't think I would be here without them. If I was here, I would've sank much deeper into what I was being absorbed by, and I don't want to think about what that could have been. It was actually Oh Ms Believer that I heard first by them, and I didn't really listen to the lyrics the first time. I liked the song's sound, so I played it again. The second time, the lyrics sunk in, and I broke down. I don't know if it was a sign, but I like to believe it was. That song made me realize how messed up I was, and I told myself that I needed to stop where I was heading. It has been 3 years since then, and I haven't improved completely, but I'm better, and not as depressed and--I'm going to say it-- Suicidal as I was then. I still go through hard times, we all do. I may have worse of a time than my friends and the people around me, but I'm working on it. Twenty øne piløts's music has played such a huge role in my decisions, and it's led me up and away from the road of darkness, and I'm now heading towards a lighter scene. I really hope Tyler knows just how much he's helped people. It isn't something I'm just saying for attention. I know he will most likely never see this comment. But I don't care. I've said it now. Twenty øne piløts is something crucial to me, and I hope they know that. I hope they REALLY know that. Not just that everyday thing that says "You're someone's reason to smile!" Because that's not deep enough. That is not what I'm saying. What I'm trying to say is something I can't explain with words. I have so much gratitude for Tyler and Josh, what they've done, and what they continue to do. And even though I'm not in a perfect place myself, I want everyone to Stay Street, and Stay Alive, because we're all worth it ||-//

The question he asks Tyler at 12:44 really impacted me. As someone living with mental illness, you really do have to “develop tools in order to function”. Things impact us differently and we have to build a way to co-exist with these twisted versions of ourselves every single day. It’s much bigger than Blurryface... we face Dema and the Trench.
