The album is just lackluster and mid like his projects 4 projects lol. Drake stans just eat it up. Drake can fart on record and it still going to number one at this point. He is not interested in making full bodies of work anymore. He has gotten lazy and refuse to grow and mature in his music. Him and Nicki suffer from the same issues. They need to grow tf up and stop catering to ppl half their age. There's nothing wrong in aging gracefully with your audience
@jh_130211 ай бұрын
@@AngeBiampandou I personally understand it on both sides. I don’t think the same people that want him to “grow up” would actually take the time to listen if he was to release a mature album and then he would lose out on his younger audience. Fam play the clip where Joe said he liked the album…this is gaslighting dawg he gave valid criticism of the album
@lueedini11 ай бұрын
You need to listen to what they actually are saying. This is about the critique of his personal life. Stop attaching the music and personal life together. There is no gaslighting, his words are being taken at face value. Drakes DMs to Joe prove that point… like or dislike the album, he doesn’t care but stop assuming and criticizing who he spends his time with and who he takes home. Joe isn’t his Dad, his big brother or his friend to be telling him how to live his life.

how are people not understanding that Drake was mad about Joe saying J Cole killed him on his own song
@malcolmthompson955511 ай бұрын
Nope he talked about his dating life nobody worried about Cole

And i understand why. I think what no one picks up is J. cole verses/lines include a simile in every other line, meanwhile Drake verse on the first part uses only hyperboles. Cole only uses "Like" in his verse, meanwhile Drake uses "As" . It was intentional. They both wrote the song TOGETHER in the studio. I think whats dope about this album is taken at surface level it seems shallow, but there a lot of little minute details in it, that unless you paying attention youre going to miss it like the track titles, cover, lyrics, etc.

@@Philosific the problem isn't really that though. You got J. Cole on the track talking about rappers/the rap game and Drake talking about women. The song isn't very cohesive, and I even liked Drake's verses on it. But after sitting on and listening to it in the car, the song is a bit of lyrical whiplash. Makes no sense and seems like they weren't even on the studio together when they were.

Can’t be mad at Drake for not making the album YOU want him to make. Sure if he really wanted to he can probably hone in and make an album with straight bars but he doesn’t want to do that. He’s trying to appeal to a younger audience. It’s his prerogative. He still sprinkles in some tracks that we in our 30s can appreciate. He’s got nothing left to prove. He’s just having fun and enjoying life. Let him live.

I don't understand why people always try to tell someone what they expected from em or what someone that they dont ever got to know on a personal level needs to do different. Idk

Drake's album isn't bad, but he is 37... his fastball isn't going to be the same after 10years of dominating
