Apples, Carrots and Corn Soup with dried longan

Recipe
250 gm pork ribs or pork bones
2 apples (cut into quarters)
1 medium size carrot (cut into chunks)
1 corn (cut into sections)
3 red dates
handful of dried longans
handful of wolfberries (soaked in water)
1200 ml water
salt to taste
Method
Blanch pork bones and wash
Cut all the apples, carrot, corn
Place all the ingredients (except wolfberries) into the inner thermal pot
Add enough water to cover all the ingredients (about 1200 ml)
Boil the soup for about 30 minutes
During the last 10 minutes add the soaked wolfberries
Add salt to taste
Transfer the inner thermal pot into the outer thermal pot
Let it cook by itself for about 4 hours
Serve hot

😘 Love soup n this must taste so sweet naturally.. Would you mind to share if this kind of Thermal cooker soup tastes better if not the same like boiling long hours in slow cooker ? I love soup and considering buying a Thermal cooker or Slow cooker..

Yes, most soup cooked by the thermal cooker taste good. I cooked for lunch and dinner . I started cooking in the morning and lunch time the soup taste good (after about 3 over hours) but dinner the soup taste even better as the pot is still insulating the soup. I just need to heat up the soup for dinner. The best insulation is about 4 to 5 hours. But for lotus soup is best to use the slow cooker as I always add nuts to lotus soup. Slow cooker make the nuts softer while the thermal cooker dont soften the nuts. Certain soup dont suit the thermal pot. While most vegetables, melon, etc cooked best in the thermal cooker pot.

@@AlicesgKitchenEasyCooking Okay I see.., but thermal pot it's more evergy n save on electricity than slow cooker I guess ? .. I saw your other video on your precious 2.5l thermal pot, so that comes with another smaller tray that can use to cook rice , then will be perfect to prep meal for one together right..

@@sindykoh1240 Yes, slow cooker need few hours to cook but certain soup is best with the slow cooker if you want the food to be soft and tender. But thermal need cook for 20 to 30 minutes only, and let it sit in the insulation pot and cook by itself for few hours without using any gas or electricity. It is also known as magic pot. lol
