You need to remember Lucy, no matter how old you are, how you act is something that resonates with others, if you can dump your mother for a hint of a gold nugget and your wretch of a father easily goes along with it, then well, a person of integrity would never let you get within a country mile of them.

This kid is a full blown sociopath. No way I'd take this kid back - she's too far gone. I also find it hard to believe the clerk at the court would accept court filings from a minor, let alone a middle school student. Let CPS deal with her.

Poor Lucy. By trying to get her to do housework, her mom was setting her up for success. Even my mom, who had 4 sons, taught us how to do housework. Spring cleaning was my brothers and I doing the housework, with mom running around to see if we were doing it right, pitching in when she needed to. Great times, as that was really the only time my brothers and I ever worked together.

HEYA Alabama. From Peacock Creek , Maris Parish Lousiana. I'm 52. I'm First Nations NAVAJO. Ive been doing chores from age 6. First Jobs were sweeping the wood floors , doing the breakfast dishes (raised by my paternal grandparents) and had 5 siblings and 4 cousins living with my Grandparents we would all work together. Get the jobs done in no time. Someone would wash , another dry. Another put the dishes away. We'd sweep and vacuum the house decent size so we would take turns with who did what rooms . And we'd wash the floors (all wood once a week a room or two each). Listening to loud music (we were all big music lovers and it made passing the time and doing the chores a lot easier). I still listen to music while doing the chores now. My wife 54 does the chores with music on too. And our two sons 15 and 19. Have been doing small chores since they were 6. Little things. Picking up toys. Sweep the kitchen floor. Put out the dry food for the dogs and cat (their fav. Jobs is anything to do with the pets they love their pets).

I cannot imagine any circumstance that would make me turn my back on my children. They aren’t perfect but then neither am I. I especially get upset at the stories where the parents turn their backs on children when the child is still a child. It is a parent’s duty to raise their children and teach them. I have seen parents whose child have committed terrible crimes but the parents still love the child while hating the child’s actions.

I just don’t understand why some people think that cleaning up around the house is considered "laziness"… If you’re ever married, have kids, possibly a pet, then it’ll take almost an entire day of housework. Well spending all day keeping your house cleaned, taking care of your pet, picking up your children from school, getting groceries for tonight’s dinner. (Longer if being held up by traffic or train) Having said all that, I just don’t see how doing housework is considered laziness.. Housewife or not. 🤨
@Nikkimommyof44 ай бұрын
This kind of behavior would only happen in this generation. Had this been even twenty years earlier or even further back if a child had even tried to lipoff to one of their parents they would have found themselves searching around the floor for their missing teeth with a foot firmly planted up their backside. This child has obviously been raised without a healthy respect for her parents and what they can or don't have to do for her. She foolishly mistook kindness for weakness. Also, how in the world would a middle school child be allowed to navigate around the city let alone be allowed to file paperwork at city hall alone without someone questioning the validity of that paperwork? This story is not at all believable.
